Audemars Piguet 15058OR.O.0067CR.01 wrist watches news:
Round watches are certainly in again this year. Well round watches are pretty much ALWAYS in - though for high-end brand Maitres du Temps a 42mm wide round-cased watch is a bit unexpected. Nevertheless, that is exactly what the new Chapter Three Reveal watch looks like. For their third creation Maitres du Temps goes super classic in design, and offers a neat set of complications worth of the Maitres du Temps name. The Maitres du Temps Chapter One was a massively sized watch with an incredible amount of complications. The Chapter Two was a sort of baby Chapter One with a more simple movement and more wearable size. Each of those watches has tonneau style cases (well, mostly). What endures over to the Chapter Three from the other two models is the use of rollers in the movement to indicate information. Rollers will apparently be a signature element of Maitres du Temps timepieces.Like all Maitres du Temps watches, the Chapter Three is a collaborative effort with the brand and two very spec
Hey guys,What you all think of the Seiko 4R16 or 4R15 movement? It has been around for a few months...any opinions?Cheers!
After a frustrating 4+ hour drive home in this snowy mess, Windy handed me 4 packages that arrived today! From left to right: a NOS (modern) replacement crown for my Omega Centenary, an Omega Gen¨¨ve Dynamic caliber 565, a Zenith El Primero caliber 3019, and my IWC came back from some adjustments courtesy of the eBay seller's watchmaker. All of a sudden, the 4 hour debacle was erased from my memory! I'm doing an ongoing thread on another forum about the Zenith since it needs some TLC. Got a few of the absolutely wonderful Illumzenati crowd helping me source parts, and I'll be documenting the pieces as they come. I can't tell you for sure how long an El Primero has been on my Target of Opportunity list because it's been years. Finally found one that ticks many boxes on my favorites list. It's C-licious! Anyway, time for my buddy to do the happy dance!
I'm having a hard time taking off my Jumbo. I wear it with just about everything and it is just so easy to slip on. Shorts? No problem! Flip flops? Yes! T-shirt? Absolutely! My other watches are suffering.
I just read a post on another forum from a watchmaker who recently sent a 119 year old Patek Phillipe 14k pocket watch back to Geneva for an estimate to repair it. As you probably know, PP will repair any watch they've ever sold, for a price. The estimate came back at $13,000.00 with an ETA of approximately 40 MONTHS!!! Kinda makes a Rolex $500 - $600 service seem like a bargain, huh?
