Audemars Piguet 26270PT.OO.D002CR.01 wrist watches news:
Breitling has?been rekindling vintage-inspired pieces for a while now. Last month, we showed you the in-house Transocean 1915 Mono-pusher Chrono, and before that a 38 mm Transocean Chrono. But, let's not forget that Breitling's legacy as a tool watch applies as much in the air as it does on the sea. Its latest release, the Breitling Chronoliner, is an aviation themed watch that evokes images of that?bygone era. When Breitling says that it drew inspiration from vintage pieces?in designing this aviator, it's only natural that we focus on our favorites. If we put on our?vintage?goggles, we don't have to look too hard to notice piston pushers and a?black bezel on a?panda dial ¨C and that means a Breitling Co-Pilot as far as vintage aviators are concerned. We covered one here?not too long ago. Granted, the registers are at 6, 9, and 12 instead of 3, 6, and 9 and the bezel is of the?24-hour variety?instead of 12, but maybe the Chronoliner's looks are inspired by a medley of older models. EditAfter discovering ulackfocus' fantastic Horology 101 threads, I have realized that many of the questions I had asked are irrelevant or unnecessary.I'm still interested in hearing about the existence or future existence of ceramic bezels on the Divers range, and how people feel about the durability and scratch resistance of these parts!
Had the pleasure of attending an Omega Boutique event in Atlanta last week with a good number of watch geeks from around GA and even one for South Carolina. The Omega team were gracious hosts, great watches new and vintage, adult beverages an overall a great time. Tim McCain (Boutique Manager) And Les Lim (sales) were absolute first rate gentlemen and incredible watch guys!First - a shout out to redbarATL members Alex and Doug who were kind enough to loan out a few of their Omegas to those who didn't own an Omega at the moment (I wore my Sinn but stashed it when I put on a vintage Omega TV - see pics below) they channeled their inner Oprah with their Omegas:The Seamaster had an engraving on the back from 1953, I forget what it said but very cool to meWinner(s) of the Looks 10x better in person category were the new Anniversary ModelsVintage was well representedThe Memomatic had both Minute and Hours Alarms The 321 was to die forLoved the Blue Steel / Grey dial on the TV SpeedmasterSpea
Can anyone recommend any Orange straps to fit!?
I am at the top of the list at my AD for the white face Daytona so when I received a call I jumped! Unfortunately, it was not for the Daytonac. They offered me the SD50. It is a watch I am interested in but prefer the Daytona. I truly feel like my collection is almost complete. Here's a pic of my collection. What say you guys? Add the SD50 or not?
