Audemars Piguet 26270pt.oo.d002cr.01 wrist watches news:
Although it?was as early as?January 2014 that we debuted the F.P. Journe ¨¦l¨¦gante (hands-on here), it is only now that the first quartz movement equipped wristwatch from F.P. Journe ¨C one of the?undisputed greats?among today's independent master watchmakers ¨C finds its way to the U.S. market. It was on this occasion that, in the F.P. Journe boutique on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, we sat down with Francois-Paul Journe for what turned out to be an hour-long conversation?about the finer details of the F.P. Journe ¨¦l¨¦gante and the movement inside of it.There were many different questions that we had?prepared prior to the conversation: how one of the most?respected traditional watchmakers of our age ended up making a quartz movement; how involved he had been in the process;?what his approach was to what is generally?accepted to be a "soulless" alternative to mechanical watches with a beating heart; and, last but not least, what makes this quartz movement special? What stood out to me?
So I usually buy one new watch a year. Last year, it was a SS Rolex GMT Master II which I happen to be wearing right now. After that splurge last year and with some other major expenditures scheduled this year, I decided to go a bit more frugal on this year's watch. And I was tired on my current daily wearer and wanted to get something a little better suited for daily wear.So this past week I bought a watch I have had my eye on for a long time: A Seiko Premier Automatic SPB001 with the 6R20 movement. This will be my fifth Seiko, and a nice bridge between my Seiko 5 and my Grand Seiko. My normal daily attire is what I call "borderline dressy causal" - khakis, loafers, and polo shirts (summer) and Pendletons (winter) - I think this watch will fit right in with that attire, so I am planning on making this watch my daily wearer.I'll post a review and some wrist shots once it arrives (hopefully next week).Anyone else here own one of these? Any thoughts?
Well, here's another one. I bought this watch a few months ago - didn't pay a lot for it based on condition. Here are a couple of pictures:I bought a NOS glass crystal, then took it to Jay (my watch guy) a few weeks ago. He cleaned it up, relumed the hands, cleaned up the dial, polished the case, etc. When I went to pick it up, he pointed out that at some point someone had soldered or brazed a fixed wire lug in place of the reverse/male lugs that were original. So I sourced a new strap for wire lugs and voila!I don't know whether it is yellow or green gold filled, but either way it is fairly scarce, I believe. Again, I am amazed by the work he doesWish I knew how to do it myself, but that will be awhile (if ever). Thanks for looking!

Tudor BBN Listed at obscene prices on eBay. There is a new one on a strap for $7800 and a used one for $6500. Who would¡¯ve ever imagined that these would be the going rates. https://m.ebay/itm/NEW-Tudor-Bla...8AAOSw-31ahxKz
