Audemars Piguet 15300ST.OO.1220ST.03 wrist watches news:
I'm going to look at a 116610LV (green dial) tomorrow morning. Brand new. ¡ê6050. If I like it as much as I did when I first saw it, I'll buy it. I've been exploring the pre-owned market and the only one I can find is from Watchclub and they're asking so close to the price of a new one, I may as well go the whole hog. I've spoken to watchclub - it's been serviced but not by Rolex. In another 2? years it'll need a service, more ¡ê¡ê¡ê. A new one will be good for 5 years.I feel I'm lucky to find a dealer that's got one in stock. One dealer told me it can take a year to get one in!I figure a price increase must be imminent. When did Rolex last have one? So even at ¡ê6.05k, it'll be a good investment. So, there we are. A done deal - good as .
I'm headed out to Toronto today:
Noticed this a while back on my 15400ST- has anyone else seen similar? You can see slight ridges on the lug where it looks like the plots have compressed the metal and pushed it up. Not always visible, only when light catches it at certain angles.Ive worn as a dress watch (light use) to the office only and certainly not pushed the bracelet upwards such that the plots would push back against the lugAny advice appreciated!fwiw i see similar on both sides ie for all 4 plots that meet the lugs.
Everyone out there, im loving this forum! been said before in many newbie threads but this is the ultimate place for info so i thought id ask a question regarding an upcoming and first big dollar watch purchase for me.I live in Australia and have priced the Omega Speedmaster Pro with the sapphire case front and back (mod 3573.50.00)- here i can get it duty free for $3800 Ausd or about $3200 USD.Im travelling to the USA in 17 days and am not sure whether it will be worth waiting and buying when im there. If there will be no saving i would prefer and feel safer buying here before i leave.Any advice/recommendations/past experience with dealers in the US. Btw- i will be visiting LA, Vegas, Washington DC, NYC and San Fran.Thank youChris
Hello gents,I'm looking to join the club, getting my first Rolex. :)I have been looking for ages, and think I finally managed to find one that seems to fit the bill. It's a 2008 YM platinum in almost perfect condition (95%). Been part of a bigger collection, thus only worn 2-3 days a month on avg. according to the sellerplete set........ only it hasn't ever been serviced!Seller, apparently a true watch-geek :) talks about having instruments that through sound, can tell whether or not the watch makes any 'wrong' sounds/needs service. My question is obvious: Do I have anything to worry about, or can a watch like this easily tick for 10 years without the need for a service? And if so, when should I expect to have to service it (planning on using it as my daily watch (desktop worker))Seller is asking top-price for the watch (€6.600 non neg.)Looking forward to your advicesThank you in advanceSam
