Seiko SRP429 wrist watches news:
I recently purchased a Breitling Transocean Chronograph Unitime, and am totally delighted with the watch. It keeps extremely accurate time (gains about 1-2 seconds/day) and I use the timezone feature all the time, being in a position where I frequently need to speak with clients in places like India and Singapore. My question is this: around the "city" disk there are red markings (arrows and dots) on about half of the disk, but on the other half there are no such red markings. Does anyone know why this is? I asked the "Breitling Expert" at the store where I purchased it, and he didn't have a clue. This is my first Breitling and I must say I am totally impressed!
This week exactly on the 27th, AP is unveiling the ROO LeBron James Edition. What do you guys think? Is it going to be a 44mm or 48mm?For more info please:ap.watchprosite/show-foru...in-le-brassus/
Just wanted to share some of my experience. My wife has a fairly new Aqua Terra with the new 8520 movement. Its very rarely worn. The winding mechanism seemed to fail whereby manual winding would catch on the rotor making it difficult to wind. I guess it shouldn't.Anyway, we gave it to the Omega boutique here in Hong Kong. It went through a local check with the watch master in Hong Kong, and then later it went to headquarters for a full repair. The whole time we did not receive a telephone call to update us of the status until it was ready for pickup. It took a full two months. When we picked up the watch, the sales gave very little input as to what was wrong or what was done to the watch. There was a little report, which I asked to keep but was not allowed to. It showed that the gasket was replaced, but surprisingly much of the comments were written in Chinese - so I wonder if this was the master report from Switzerland. Being COSC certified, it kind of irks me a little knowing
I would like to know what markings there are to determine authenticity. I haven't had an Omega watch for almost a decade now and don't know what to look for when buying second hand. Is there a serial number between the lugs like Rolexes have or is it on the back somewhere? Thanks for any help.
5980R!Thanks to Ken for his council. Thanks to George at Govberg Jewlers in Phily. I can't say enough about his knowledge of Patek and understanding of how exchange rates affect price! :)Sorry for the crppy pic!
