Constellation Chronometer Quartz
Here is an Omega Constellation Chronometer Quartz and I don't really know much about this, anybody in this forum can enlighten me about my new purchase? This is my first omega watch and looking forward on acquiring some more pieces as time goes on, didn't want to go crazy on my first one so i figured something old like this would be the first step.I noticed that the crown doesn't have the Omega logo embossed. When I also try to change the time, the hour hand is the only thing moving the minute hand gets stuck on its position as if something was stuck on its gear, but when I check it it keeps good time I just dont get it. How much does watch service cost and would it be worth it for this watch? looking forward to hear from you Omega pro's!the number under the logo inside the watch is 1343. Automatic Watch Waterproof Seal
So basically, I always hear that one reason automatic dive watches are superior to quartz is that that the quartz seals don't work properly after the watch has been opened to change the battery. Automatics, in theory, don't have this problem. Of course we all know that automatics have to be cleaned/regulated from time to time to ensure they work properly. So wouldn't an automatic have this same problem? Or do automatic's seals/water proofing not work the same way? And if I do need my dive watch certified, would I need to send it into the manufacturer for service to ensure the seal will stay, or would a professional watch repairman be able to guarantee this as well? thanks

5980 discontinued - WHY?
Anyone know why the 5980 steel was discontinued? I've recently been pondering if i should move my 26320OR for a steel 5980 or a 5726 but come to find out they aren't produced anymore.
