Audemars Piguet 25860ST.OO.1110ST.05 wrist watches news:
The Piaget rose with its hundred bright pink and softly scented "peony" petals is an endless source of inspiration for the brand. Once again, it is unfurling its fuchsia flower on the dial of an Altiplano. To create the bloom, the artist Rose Saneuil selected different materials (white mother-of-pearl, grained plane and pale pink maple, candy and scarlet sycamore), cut them up then assembled them, piece by piece, from the chapter ring to the heart of the dial. It took 25 hours and 96 wooden and mother-of-pearl pieces to make the dial. That means it took around 450 hours for this Boulle School graduate to make the 18 Altiplano Marqueterie de nacre et bois watches. The petals lie beneath two silver baton-shape hour and minute hands brought to life by the ultra-slim manual wind 430P calibre inside the 38mm diamond and white gold case. Price: 70,500 CHF. Hi everyone,I'm a newbie, hoping for some advice on my first Rolex purchase. Right now I'm leaning toward the SS DJ, silver dial with stick markers, domed bezel, and Oyster bracelet. That seems like a good combo of elegant and just sporty enough. I'm 31 and have to wear a suit to work, so I need a formal watch, but I'd like something sporty and not too "fussy" or old. On the other hand, I want a watch that will still look classic when I'm 60. ....I can't afford the fluted bezel, but could consider a black or white dial, or the Jubilee bracelet. What do you think? Also, my local AD offered 5% off without much prompting. I'd really appreciate any thoughts on how much of a discount I could reasonably press for. Thanks! The AD said there will probably be a price increase in March, so I'll probably buy before then? I'll be sure to post a photo once I have it.
Hi Guys.I have read many times now that although the PO has one of the best water resistances going for a divers watch (save for a couple of Rolex models), you should still have the WR checked every year or so. I am planning on going on holiday this summer to Greece and trying diving for the first time. I bought my PO (22005000) under a year ago and was wondering if I should get it checked and if so.How much should I expect to pay? I know it is under warranty if anything does happen to it but I've also heard it can take quite a while to get your watch back if you have warranty covered work done. I love this watch and don't want months without it!!!Advice please!!!
Some of you may have seen my very first post titled "I hate this forum" where I was searching for a new watch. I ended up scaling down my budget, but still found a watch I really like to replace my old Seiko. It came in the mail today. It was like Christmas in February (or Festivus if you prefer). :-) The wrist shot. I need to have a link removed on it. My old Seiko I have worn almost everyday for the last 9 years. Yikes, I never really noticed how dirty it was around the edge until I saw the close up pic. Just for kicks. My old Coke watch I recently rediscovered that I bought when I was in about the 5th grade (the original band fell apart). Maybe I will put in a new battery and see if it still works. If so, maybe I will wear it a little just for kicks. haha
Just need a little help, can't seem to find a makers mark, or anything resembling it. anyone know the make?
