why choose a sub over a sew-dweller??
Hi sorry if this is a basic question but- today i was at the Rolex store and from looking at them the Submariner and the Sea-Dweller are much the same with abt the same price, with the exception the Sub can only go 300m deep and the Sea-Dweller 1200m (plus the cyclops on the sub)While I understand virtually nobody will ever go as deep as either of these depths why wouldn't you just choose the watch that is rated for more depth?Is service costs more or the movement sacrificed in the Sea-Dweller? Would people choose the Sub of the SeaD as it's more of an iconic model, does it have better re-sale? What are the other differences?thanks

My new baby the 392!!
Being a Rolex only kind of guy I went in to buy a SS Daytona. Noticed the Panerai and loved them! But thought the 44 was too big on me. Week later I stopped in again and they had this 42mm 392. Fell in love! Fits perfect on my small wrist and is not too tall. Also love the smaller buckle! Now let the Strap fun begin!

The dial making process and the dial painting process and the dial printing process are likely done by different people. Can you imagine the pressure of dial printing? How about the pressure put on the QC team? Tolerances are extremely tight and unforgiving. Precision is required. It is probably not wise to show up for work at a Rolex factory hung over from a night at the disco.
