Bought myself a new toy
Today I was up at the mid Michigan antiques festival in Midland. I have had an itch for a vintage Omega Seamaster for a long time. Well I finally found one, 14k gold top and a stainless caseback Seamaster Deville. The hand and dial are mint. Its in running condition, but needs a servicing, and the crown isnt correct, but only paid a $150 for it. I think i got a pretty good deal. I want to put a beads of rice bracelet on it. Can you give me a time period for this Gruen Precision?
This was my dad's watch which I recently found in a drawer. My best guess is that it is from the late 60's, but I really can't nail down the date on ebay or through Google. On the back, there is a number 1318 and the metal band says USA on each link.I know it isn't worth anything, but it would nice to put a date to the watch. It actually still runs quite nicely.Thanks.

Hi..I never own any German watch before but been serious considering adding a nice German watch to my collection. Lately I been looking at MG Big Sport M12 and Damasko DA 37 from the Gnomon website. I especially like the clean look and solid build of both watches. Is there anybody w experience with these two watches? How do they compare?Appreciated if anyone can help out here. Tks. Vegas - PT DD40 with Green Anniversary Dial
Just like Rolex allows any SS Skydweller dial to be specially ordered on a WG model...ala the Blue WG Skydweller seen on one of our TFS site, I was in Las Vegas last weekend and saw a PT DD40 with Anniversary Green Olive dial.I believe that you can special order any PT DD40 with any WG dial you want..including the 60th anniversary Olive dial.It was stunning. It had the non-fluted bezel so I am not sure if the play with the deconstructed romans and the light was less or different than the play between the WG version with the fluted bezel.....but as good as it looks in WG.....that olive dial on the that cold frosted white platinum metal....incredible....If I were to get a PT watch, I always assumed it would be with glacier blue dial but the olive and PT looks absolutely amazing.
