Bell & Ross BR 01 Aviation Instrument Watches For 2013
For 2013 Bell & Ross will once again offer up a few new "Aviation Instrument" themed collection of watches based on the BR 01 (BR01) case. I believe this is the third or fourth year of doing so and it began with pieces like the BR 01 Compass and then the?BR 01 Radar watch. The concept of the piece is to be even more directly "instrument" inspired even though the Bell & Ross BR 01 is called the "Instrument." Having said that, the standard BR 01 watches are straightforward standard watch dials while the Aviation Instrument collection are a bit more "interpretive."You sort of either love or hate these watches. Oil or water under crystal?
Howdy all! I got my first Rolex - Sub Date - from my wife as a wedding present. Absolutely love it and I wear it anytime IĄŻm not sleeping!On our honeymoon, in the plenty of light that is French Polynesia, I noticed some markings on/under the crystal. I filled the sink with soapy water, took my toothbrush, and scrubbed away. WouldnĄŻt come off. So, it would seem theyĄŻre under the crystal.To my eyes, and itĄŻs admittedly a bit hard to tell in the attached picture, they look to be a light brown color which leads me to wonder if theyĄŻre lubricant reside spots. IĄŻve kept the crown screwed down the entire time IĄŻve had it so itĄŻs not water damage.What do yĄŻall think? Tomorrow my g/f will drop by a Rolex service Centre to buy an extra link for her Explorer 214270 mk1. But since the watch warranty is already expire, will Rolex sell the link w/o movement service on the watch ? And if the watch is being serviced by Rolex, how many years of service warranty do they provided ?

I only have one concern about the SS skydweller.....
After finally getting to spend some time with the white dial (which I did not buy), i just have one slight concern- Is it a little too dressy? I do wear dress clothes 5 days a week so not a huge deal but the watch did seem pretty busy esp with the fluted bezel. I'm struggling seeing this watch on my wrist while doing a Saturday morning car wash. Would love your thoughts....thx boys!! Btw-I'm waiting for the blue
