Audemars Piguet 26170ST.OO.D101CR.01 wrist watches news:
OK, I know there's more than a few of us kickin around WTF who own a Zodiac or two (banned, auto and rusty), so let's show em offHere's my new OceanaireAnd my Sea Dragon
Hey all I will be traveling on business this week and for the first time I want to bring more than the one watch on my wrist. Now the time pieces I will take are not high dollar but I certainly do not want to lose them to baggage handlers. What are some tips from frequent travelers on the forum? I am thinking of carrying them in my computer bag that I carry on, is this a good idea or should I just put them in my checked luggage? Thanks for any responses.
After all these years, I just got my first Omega I've been searching for the 45th anniversary moon watch for a while ever since I saw one at an AD.. and finally pull the trigger. (Thanks Henry Erlich, aka HankE from TZ)Its used, but LNIBthe pics below shows it with leather strap rather than the oem Nato (which I also have)This watch is absolutely gorgeous. (Especially the way the light reflects off the hour markers and the way the dial changes color in a subtle way.) Its hard to capture the beauty in pics.-Compared to my Rolexes, its light (titanium). -Its also lacking the date, but I will get used to it. -I also have to get in the habit of winding this daily since its not automatic.-The lume is better than my DJII, particularly the hour & minute hand lume.
Simple question: does the current market value of your watch impact how you wear it?I¡¯m no stranger to expensive watches and generally don¡¯t fret about how I wear my watches relative their cost. Most would cringe to see what I wear when fishing, boating, motorcycling, hunting, golfing, etc. However the recent (insane) valuation of steel Pateks has begun to influence how I wear them. I¡¯ve found myself worrying about scratches and dings on my steel Pateks whereas it was never a consideration before. I have no such hangups with my PM watches - only steel. Brand has little bearing on it. Maybe I¡¯m just not meant to own steel? Thoughts?
