Hands-On: With The New A. Lange & S?hne 1815, Downsized To 38.5mm For 2014
Much of the attention given to A. Lange & S?hne focuses on its more complicated watches, like the Pour le M¨¦rite Tourbillon, the Zeitwerk, and even the Grand Complication, but Lange knows how to do simplicity too. At SIHH 2014, Lange released an updated version of the classic time-only 1815 in a smaller 38.5mm case, available in yellow, pink, and white gold. The new 1815 retains many of the design features of its predecessor and will be produced alongside the old 1815 instead of replacing it. Lange & S?hne updated the 1815 Up/Down, but this release differs in two major ways: 1) The 2013 1815 Up/Down was 3mm larger than its predecessors, jumping from 36mm to 39mm and 2) The new 39mm 1815 Up/Down replaced the 36mm version of the watch. Enjoying Sunday Morning on the Deck
I recently put in an 802.11N router in my home, so I can easily work outside on the deck. It's very peaceful out back:Everything I need to work:I couldn't resist taking a few watch photos while I was out there. I guess I should admit that I recently purchased a Canon "Elph" SD1000 as a pocket camera for doing wrist shots and such when I'm not wanting to haul around a DSLR and my backpack full of lenses:It does OK for a pocket camera. Black face regulus?
Hello. First post. Through a family estate, I recently( and unexpectedly) received a Hamilton Electric Regulus. My question is about the color of the face. The only faces I have seen are white but mine has a black dial. Is this unusual? I would like to learn more; I only recently started to enjoy vintage watches and any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hamilton Savitar II Electric with a GE Dial
Does anyone have any idea about the production quantities for the Savitar II with a GE dial on it?Rene mentions in his book that the GE dialed Savitar II's are scarcer than other GE dialed Electrics. There were 8,800 production models made, but I'm trying to see how many GE dials there are out there.I need to raise cash, so mine may hit the Sales Forum shortly and I'm trying to determine the scarcity and value (not that the two always go hand-in-hand) before I post it.Thanks for any help.Chris

Curious, what is the 1st feature of your Panerai that you feel is necessary when navigating through the myriad of offerings, ie the beginning of your filtering process?For me, when i think of tool watch, i see a solid case back.
