Oris 645 7596 4051-07 5 24 70 FC wrist watches news:
I have purchased several vintage Hamilton wrist watches. Some have a very nice patina on the dial from age. I've included a pic of a 1941 "Vincent" that I recently purchased that has a nice patina on the dial. To my mind, it adds to the beauty of the watch. But I'm wondering if the watch would be more valuable if the dial is restored to it's original condition and the patina is removed. Any thoughts?Mark
Not the watch, but the band. When I originally bought this 1956 cal. 321 Omega, it was on a cheap black strap, and I really wanted it on a BOR bracelet, so found a newer (but authentic) one. It's been a few years, and I was itching to appreciate those lugs again (which tend to blend in with the endpieces). So this morning I switched to this brown Graf Champion strap. Totally different look, I know. Fortunately I can always put on the bracelet again if I change my mind. Sometimes I wished it had an exhibition back to display this gorgeous movement:
Thought I would share some photos of my Diver and wife's Air King
Hi guys, I wanted to know what you think of these 2 models, the Nautilus 5711-1R, and the 15202OR?Both of them are gorgeous, but I am a real sucker for anything blue, and as much as the 5711 with the brown dial is a real stunner I think I may have a preference on this one for the AP, I understand that RG and brown are supposed to be the best combination, but RG and blue dial may have my preference. It's not a watch that I might be getting anytime soon, but it is on my radar. What would be your choice, considering if they were at the same price? The Patek is supposed to be a little more expensive than the AP but not by far. Here are 2 pics to help you decide which one you prefer. By the way on pics from the AP site it looks very very red but as I understand in real life it's much softer and rose instead of red as like shown on pics. Also the case back is probably more beautiful on the AP than the Patek…Thanks for your replies 5711_1R_001.pngjumbo RG.jpg
I am looking for input from other Omega Seamaster/Speedmaster owners. My current collection consists of a Seamaster Planet Ocean chronograph, a Speedmaster 1957 Broad Arrow and a Seamaster Planet Ocean XL.I am thinking of selling one of the Planet Oceans. Any suggestions of what I should replace it with? Thanks in advance for your suggestions and comments.
