B.R.M B.R.M 13104 wrist watches news:
Earlier this week I posted a thread on the General Discussion Forum about one of my grails had saved me thousands of dollars. I've had two grails for some time, one of which I already owned, my GMT IIc. The other one has always been a white SS Daytona. Resisting buying something on impulse meant I had a few bucks tucked away that weren't going for a watch I wouldn't wear as often as the GMT IIc. That was my "test." Would I wear the GO, GP, Zenith instead of my GMT? The answer was no, so I didn't pull the trigger on those. Instead I sold off a couple watches (maybe one more yet to go) and had money just in case. Well Saturday I was at my AD and asked, almost as a joke, if they had a SS Daytona in back. To my astonishment he said, "yes, a white one." Then he asked if I'd like to see it. I had never seen one before in the metal, so naturally I said sure. I tried it on and brother, resistance was futile. I knew there was no way I could walk out of the store without my grail of grails. Here
This has been posted before, but since we have seen quite a few new faces it's time to bring it back. Here's a little tongue-in-cheek pocket guide of tips and tricks to make your collecting experience a bit smoother for you. The first tip I can give you is run away!!! Run fast, run far, and keep running! Abandon all hope ye who enter here! Forget watches - you can use your cell phone to tell the time! Your wallet will thank you for it. Okay, if that didn't scare you off then keep reading.....but be prepared to spend 5X more on this habit/hobsession than you initially thought. In for a penny, in for a pound (more like thousands of pounds ).The second tip is about buying and selling. Think you got a great deal on that Omlexing two-tone Super-duper unlimited edition Revenger SUX 5000 chronopetual GMT with the out-house movement? Just wait 'til you try to sell it! You'll find that the term "flipping" should have the word "out" permanently attached to it. The best way to
The most current price list from Patek Philippe for MRSP in the US is currently posted up at Timezone. As per the title of this post, it's available for two weeks only but you can save a copy of it. Click here. This is the second price increase for Patek so far this year!!A good price guide for those of you with previous Patek models listed would be to take the MRSP of the piece you have at the time you paid for it, and meet it half way with the current price of said piece.
Hey everyone...first post here and part-time lurker, lol.I'm looking to purchase my first (and possibly only) Rolex and THOUGHT that I was set on the YM 116622 Dark Rhodium with the blue sweeping hand. However, the BLNR has now gotten my attention since they're both relatively close in price in the pre-owned market.I've seen posts comparing the YM Blue Dial to the BLNR, but I couldn't seem to find any posts comparing the YM Dark Rhodium Dial to the BLNR.In trying to think (and type) outloud, I've developed a short comparison between the watches and/or also what stands out to me about each watch.PROS for the YM Dark Rhodium- I like the thicker bezel and its trendy look. - The YM Dark Rhodium caught my eye because of the blue sweeping hand and the dark rhodium. It seemed to just pop out to the eye and looks awesome.- This YM is unique in that I don't think I've ever seen anyone wear this compared to me seeing more GMT's out there (even though they're mostly the BLRO Pepsi).- I like th
Hello fellow Rolexer,is there a place where they can make the GMT bezel more defined again i.r. teeth more sharper ?thx
