Cartier W20091X7 wrist watches news:
E-Ink screen based watches seemed to be a big deal a few years ago, but they have recently become less popular for some odd reason. Is that going to change? Maybe. It turns out that Japan's Sony has been working on a secret e-ink watch under a skunks works company called Fashion Entertainments (FES) that is currently being crowd-funded (again) here on the Japanese site Makuake. Seiko seemed to begin the e-ink watch craze in 2007 when they introduced the very interesting and very expensive Seiko Spectrum - a bracelet-style watch with an e-ink screen totally wrapping around it.E-ink later found popularity in other more expensive Seiko watches such as EPD Active Matrix collection, as well as in less expensive models from brands such as Phosphor.? While news of the Sony FES e-ink watch has been around for a few months as a concept under the "TAKT PROJECT," what is new today is that Sony has announced it is behind the upcoming timepiece whose crowd-funding campaign is just about over (for t
Hi Guys. I've spent a fair amount of time on the Rolex and Omega forums, and have a couple of each, but I'm really taken by Panerai and am looking for one. I'd like to solicit some opinions. I'd like a black dial automatic, 44mm, prefer a date and second hand, but not power reserve. My budget cap is around 7k. What are your thuoghts?
This was one of my earliest watches when I started collecting, so I wasn't quite over the quartz hump. That being said, the battery on the Accutron Exeter died and I got around to replacing it today. I looked at the back case cover and there it is stamped, China. Seems out of place on a watch that says Swiss made in two places. The movement does say Swiss Rhonda. It still rubs me wrong, even though I know the Swiss Made rule allows for X% of foreign parts and labor.Knowing that though, I think Bulova is being very disingenuous, if not crossing the line of fraud, by proclaiming Swiss production loudly and hiding the Chinese parts. At least to me, it devalues the Bulova name and watch itself. I know Invicta does this sort of thing, but Bulova? Makes me wonder if America law requires some type of honesty in labeling and if Bulova and others could be required to list the source of their parts. Here's the bottom line, even if there is a law allowing you to call 80% Swiss made 100% Swiss
i was able to find a couple of watches for my nieces (ages 4.5 and 6) at amazon which are quite nice. they are made by timex (good). they have small dials (appropriate for their size), they are inexpensive (about $13), seem to be somewhat rugged (you know kids), have an educational function (the hands are marked hour and minute with a minute time marker for each numberi.e., 5 for the number 1, etc.) and come in kiddie themes (i bought one dora the explorer and one hello kitty). for those who are interested.
