Basil 2011 reflections from an old Omega fan
In a sense, I am disappointed with the Omega introductions and Rolex as well, but on the other hand, I am delighted.First off, My Liquidmetal LE is looking better all the time. I have never had a problem with any of the seven 2500 movements I have owned, including A, B, & C versions, so the larger, thicker 8500 movement is not an attraction for me. And Ti is a deal killer for me. With all the changes to the Planet Ocean, my LM LE will be a one-of-a-kind along with only 1947 others. Thank you Omega for making it a true collectible.Certainly, the new SMP models cannot hold a candle to the classic sword hand models. And who needs any Speedy other than the Professional with the classic Lemania manual wind movement?So bottom line: I am quite happy with my LM, my 2255.80, and my Speedy Pros.Omega's "Rolex" marketing decisions have made me ask "If Omega wants to be like Rolex, why not buy Rolex?" That is why I have recently added two classic discontinued Rolex models to my collect

Latest Acquisition - Speedmaster 3513.30
I just purchased a Speedmaster 3513.30 (Silver Face) and should have it later this week. I had been wanting either a white or silver faced watch, and had been considering a Seamaster "Great-white" GMT, but I was also wanting to get a Speedmaster. Now I get the best of both worlds with this watch. Any suggestions on different bands? I like the bracelet, but I plan on this watch being more casual.Once I get the watch I will of course be posting pictures.

Hey guy's I could really use some feedback positive if thats possible. I recently orderd a watch with a asian valjoux 7750 but unlike most asia valjoux 7750's this model which I'm not gonna name because of legal issues please respect that .Had to have the seconds hand relocated to the 6'oclock instead of the typical 9'oclock. And after I orderd it I read a lot of negative feedback about the asia valjoux movements with the seconds hand at the 6 instead of the 9'oclock postion having alot of problems. So my questions are 1 do any of you guy's own any watches with an asian valjoux 7750 movements and 2 have they ever given you any problems. If it's possible just watches with the small seconds at the 6'oclock but I don't mind reading what you guy's have to say.
