Breitling 40 Year Anniversary Chrono-Matic QP and 1461 Limited Editions
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the launch of their first automatic chronograph movement, Breitling is introducing two limited editions of its Chrono-Matic model. The first is the Chrono-Matic 1461, a stainless steel edition of 2,000 pieces combining a chronograph with a calendar that requires adjustment once each leap-year. The second, in red gold, is a chronograph with perpetual calendar in red gold, limited to just 125 pieces and called the Chronomatic QP.The numeric component of the Chrono-Matic 1461 name refers to the number of days the calendar can “remember” the date. The day, date and month are displayed via subdials with straight hands that create an instrument panel look. The 1461, shown below, comes on a woven steel Aero Classic bracelet.The Chrono-Matic QP’s movement consists of almost 500 parts. I'm ready to buy a Rolex and have chosen a reputable online dealer.What is your opinion about buying a Rolex without papers?It will be a watch I plan on keeping and not re-selling.Or should I buy just with papers?Opinions please cause I'm ready to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hamilton Movement Serial Number Lists
Has everyone else noticed that the typically referenced Hamilton serial number lists do not include the 987F or 987A movements? I also wonder why the 987 is dated after the 987E. Am I missing something? ;)

lets open the watch chest and see the latest additionI've been wanting this Casio G-Shock for awhile, I went ahead and got it a couple days ago.I just like itwhen I don't wear it, it stays with the Lime G-ShockI don't feel comfortable wearing an automatic during my work as a toolmaker, just too much movement happening, I like watches, tend to wear a more duarable watch while workingI like the analog/digital combinationthe black one looks sporty, matches the car I drivesimilar cases but different soulsthe black strap bites the wrist, almost uncomfortablely irritatingzoom in on these straps - maybe I will get used to the teeth that black g-shock hassays it's anti-magnetic - does that mean the whole thing is plastic?deep dial a pair of rugged time pieces I've had lots of good luck with this brand

YG Sub - black or blue face/bezel?
I'm considering buying an all yellow gold Submariner. If I do, it might be new, or it might be a vintage (such as a 16618).I can't decide which face/bezel color - black or blue? Both are beautiful, in different ways. Both face colors go great with yellow gold, but they are very different looks. Gold/black is probably more subdued/classy, and gold/blue seems more striking, but it's almost too much color.What do you all prefer? Which do you think is the more common color?Thanks!Ken
