Baume & Mercier 37069 wrist watches news:
Hi,I'm afraid I have a watch obsession (or so my wife tells me) so have a number of automatic watches. However, three or four weeks ago I purchased my first Longines, a black (non-chrono) HydroConquest. It was something of an impulse buy, but so far I'm very pleased with it, apart from one thing. I'm really not keen on the design of the crown. Aesthetically it looks fine, but to use I think it's a poor design. The smooth ring at the end makes it very difficult to grip properly. Add to that a movement which isn't the lightest to wind and it's not a pleasant experience.Something concerns me though and I wonder if you Longines experts have an opinion? On all my other watches with a screw-down crown, the action of unscrewing the crown to wind or set the time is very easy and smooth, like simply unscrewing a nut from a bolt (for want of a better analogy). On the Longines, as I unscrew the crown I get a faint clicking sound (and feel) as if the crown is engaged on a spring or other part of t
This is the first review of a watch that I have ever done, so please bear with me, especially if the construction of it , is not quite in sync!As most of the regular members will know, and probably frustrated after, I have been in love with this piece, especially with the darker coloured (grey) dial from the moment that I first saw the photos that came out from Basel 2010. So much so that when I saw a dummy model at my AD the following month, I asked them to let me know, when the first one came in. In the meantime, not having the cash available for such a purchase, I went about doing some ¡°Wheeling & Dealing¡± of my small collection, which included my FP Journe Black Label Calendrier, which to a degree I still very much regret selling. Long story short, I received a phone call from my AD back in September asking me if I was still keen on getting a 5205G? Yes was my reply, so after a small deposit had been placed and a visit to Patek Philippe Manufacture with my AD in October I wai
i note from some forums that dirt etc can be a key contributor to bracelet loosening over time rather than any tensile loads.that said i note that on the RO bracelet, the gaps between then links gather dust relatively easily.what do people find works well to get between the grooves?is pressurised air in a can spray safe? or a very light brush like the ones to apply shaving foam! a microfibre cloth doesnt really get in between properlyor are there proper watch cleaning kits i shd consider?i saw some ultrasonic cleaners (for bracelet only, not the head), but probably will stick to something simpler for now.thx againian
Is it true that AP is stopping its forged carbon production? If so why? I know that they stopped production on the 44mm and 42(bumblebee). So now if i want to purchase forged carbon, i need to go with the concept style? (Considering that i want to purchase new). Thank you for the clarification. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thoughts?i think this basel we get one.
