2009 Hamilton Ventura XXL Automatic Watch
It was only a matter of time before Hamilton decided it was time for a real rehash of the classic Ventura watch. This is not to be confused with now defunct Ventura watches. The Ventura watch model from Hamilton first came out in the age of pre-quartz electronic watches. When "electronic" watches meant something futuristic and exotic. It was the spacey look of the watch that really mattered though. At the time, it was really "out there." Shaped like a shield on its side - many with the popular two-tone leather strap - the Ventura has been in production for over 50 years.It is funny that only more recently have the watches become mechanical. At the behest of some guys in the Invicta Forum (Agent O, Foggy, Time2, Falcon, and Henn), I bring you this, post #1,000!I joined the WTF back on December 1st. I don't recall what brought me here, but I ended up here. Now, roughly 6-1/2 posts per day later, here I is. Before I found WTF, I used to tarry on aimlessly through the net; A camera forum here, a guitar forum there, maybe a politics forum (from which I'd often get banned) now and again.Now I find, though, that WTF is my first stop on the web.Since joining, my watch collection has grown, much as my camera and guitar collections would grow after joining those types of forums. Since 12/1/07, I've added an EL WTF LTD, an Invicta Aussie Pro Diver, two Invicta Times Square Autos (the second of which will be here later this week), an Omega Seamaster Professional, John's book on photography (which I haven't even read yet), two watch winders, and two hats (Oris and Invicta).I don't even wear hats.I've found some reputable online retail

Rolex Booklets/Manuals.
I wonder if anyone out there can help me understand the reference numbers given to the booklets/manuals that are issued by Rolex. I have just purchased a superb Datejust 16030 1988 and it came with everything except the Rolex booklet/manual and I am trying to workout which Datejust booklet(I.e 593.02 Eng -100-1.1988..?.) it should of had so I can possibly look to purchase a pre-used one....any help would be appreciated even if it is to understand what the numbers in the reference stand for.
