Baume & Mercier MOA08775 wrist watches news:
A couple of years ago, we put a piece together about Padron Watch Company, a one-man show out of Minneapolis. Leo Padron, said one-man, welcomed us into his watch making studio, where he designs and assembles his line of affordable and unique watches (yes, he's a watch maker). It's worth a read to learn a bit more about the man and his brand. At the time, he was just finishing up a successful Kickstarter campaign for his Tessera timepieces, one of several such projects. Now, he is currently at the end of yet another successful campaign for an update to the Tessera, named the Selby. What caught my about this watch, all of Padron's watches for that matter, was that it's totally his own vision. His watches are unique and almost bizarre, and while not for everyone, have an undeniable charm. Furthermore, in a sea of watches that seem to be slight variants on an idea or two, his bold designs are a nice change of pace. The Selby was actually the most low key of the bunch, in my eyes. Gone were
On June 29th of this year, we showed you a simple looking watch – one made of stainless steel with a simple self-winding movement inside – that got a lot of people excited. I'm talking about the Tudor Heritage Black Bay ONE Reference 7923/001, a unique watch made for Only Watch 2015. The watch is a variation on the existing Tudor Black Bay, with a black bezel and dial and hands that resemble those found on one of Tudor's most collectible and sought after vintage pieces, the reference 7923 seen here when we went inside the Tudor vault. Not only is it great looking, but it's also the very first confirmed unique watch to ever come from Tudor. Now we have a few "live" photos of it – and it looks awesome. 1 OF 10 The 7923/001 is a true remake of a historical piece, which is actually in contrast to the existing Tudor Heritage line, which has always been something of an amalgamation of several historical pieces. The result for the Black Ba
Hi,I just acquired a dress watch with the 30L movement. However, the sub-second hand seems drop off and it is very loose when I try to mount or so I suspect it is not original and a wrong size. I want to get a replacement but I cannot find info. about the size, can anyone help me?Anyone have spare hand to sell me?Cheers.
Hey fellow AP nuts. I am glad I found the forum and look forward to participating and getting to know everyone. How about some AP wristy to introduce myself.
Hello all, I finally got a professional opinion on the watch, Although we did no get much info on the origin of the watch(which is what I was most interested in) I was assured that Patek Philippe is a very high end watch maker lol...I know that. He too was skeptical that it came from Montgomery Ward. But I am of the understanding that Montgomery Ward, back in the day sold much more highend items that they do not sell today. He did say the watch, even though it is a PP, is only really worth its weight in gold because the model is less desireable, but that's fine its still an awesome keepsake with a cool story which I am still on a quest to find more info. I am going to take it to a friend of mine to see if I can't get some more info, I will keep you informed, and again, if anyone else has any knowledge on this model I would be thrilled if you could inform me..rolexforums/showthread.php?t=109621I took a few better pictures, although my picture taking ability is not what it could be.
