I need some advise please. I have a vintage Omega Seamaster from 1979, its in top condition, BUT some how moisture has gotten inside and is seaming up the glass, i thought it had dried out, but its back. I have no idea how it happened, but i live in New York and it has not stopped raining here for weeks now, moisture is everywhere.Anyway, can anyone recommend a solution, i know the best thing to do is take it straight to a repair store, NYC has some great places but also its fair share of dodgy places, Can anyone recommend a great repair store? Also im on my way to vegas for a few days so i wont be around, Can anyone recommend a temporary solution to stop any further damage?Thank so much, as always i appreciate all your help.Cozzer

Ok... here is a little tip that may change your Vintagewatch collecting habit forever...FIND A Good Watch Repair Guy! (or Gal)This is the hard part... It took me years to find the perfect guy to work on my Illinois and I make sure to keep him very busy. There is Rik, here at the forum, and he can answer your general questions and He also does great work on many models. There are other sponsors or guys in your local area, and on the web, that are vintage watch repair experts... do some digging and check references. How many times have you seen something on ebay and it said... "project watch," or "doesn't run" or "runs for a little while and stops!"For most people this is a BIG turnoff!and these watches generally go much cheaper than the average "working" watch...How many of you have a "Broken watch in a drawer?"Or wanted to "Save a Watch!"Remember the JLC Dennis (ulackfocus) saved?Project Watch Club: JLC reference 2285Project Watch Club: JLC reference 2285 "after"I LOVE THESE WAT
Hi all, I've been posting in the Rolex area but have started to wear my 45mm PO again. It has a rubber strap but now I am thinking of getting the factory metal bracelet. Does anyone know of an AD or reputable dealer that I can get one from at a more reasonable price? Last I checked it was about $500 from a local AD so I didn't bite.Thank you.
