Baume & Mercier MOAO8772 wrist watches news:
When we were over in Schaffhausen filming the currently on-going series "A Man's Guide To Buying A Watch" with IWC, they were gracious enough to let us into their absolutely awesome museum. Inside, we found some of the earliest IWC watches on record, and all of the classics pieces from the brand's superb history, including many that act as the inspiration for today's collection - think original Portuguese pieces from 1939, 1950s MKXI pilot's watches, late 60s Aquatimers, and the original Genta-designed Ingenieur SL. Take a look below and revel in the vintage IWC awesomeness, and if you happen to make it to Schaffhausen, we HIGHLY recommend you pay a visit. And, just so you know, Schaffhausen is a quick (and beautiful) train ride from Zurich. 2 OF 37 3 OF 37 4 OF 37
I have been searching all over the place to find a pic to identify my grandfather's omega watch and compare in order to verify the info I have. The info I have comes from the original Omega Guarantee Booklet from Wiesbaden Hainerberg Army Store in Germany purchased on Sept 21, 1958 (my uncle purchased it for my grandfather while he was stationed over there). It gives me a movement number of 15124706 and reads "case of 14kt S.Gold". From what I can gather is that the movement number makes the watch from 1956 although purchased in 1958. It is an Omega automatic Seamaster Calendar (cal at the 3 position) and does read Seamaster Waterproof on back. The face is wearing a bit (almost looks like it flaked a bit). Numbers are at the 12, 6, and 9 position. Works great, does not have original band but it does have a 10kt GF top SS bottom band. What I would like, if anyone can help me, is to verify this info on the gurantee to the watch without having it opened. I am considering selling
I am the new owner of an 024. I was told by the dealer that the dial, which is a "T Swiss Made T" dial, somehow makes this ore collectible. Can someone explain this to me?
These are some of my first stabs at watch photography. Please excuse the thumbnails, I will have to get a Photobucket account if this becomes addicting. Which it probrally will................
A friend gave me this watch a few years ago, unfortunately I cant remember anything they told me about it. Im hoping someone on here can help.Firstly I'd like to say that I dont really know anything about watches so please bare with me. The only markings on the watch are 4132 and PO,935A and also a couple of rampant lions, which i assume are hallmarks, which are all on the inside of the back cover. Theres no markings on the actual dial or mechanics.
