Baume & Mercier MOA10007 wrist watches news:
I finished this 1916 Elgin trench watch yesterday so I thought I's share the results. 1916 was the final year that Elgin manufactured the bigger size 0s movements (wonder why they stopped?). Grade 298, sn 19388327. The 7 jewel gilded movement is set inside a nice "Silverode" Philadelphia trench case with a hinged case back that has not been bent open further than 90 degrees. Original Elgin military dial with bold Arabic numerals and drilled lum holes at the numbers. I installed a set of resotred lum hands that look pretty nice. Installed a new crystal and a new Bund strap, polished the case and the movement is keeping spot on correct time now.
Hi guys,I've been on the hunt for a Longines Master (used), and this one just popped-up on eBay:eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low pricesAssuming I can look past the fact the watch is in China and the user has very little history (I know, I know - you're rolling your eyes and mumbling "moron"), I'm most troubled by the "2" in "2" and "12". It doesn't have the same swirl as what Longines has in their catalog:L2.518.4.78.6 - The Longines Master Collection - Watchmaking Tradition - Watches - Longines Swiss Watchmakers since 1832I know counterfeit watches and boxes are a dime a dozen, but did this guy fake the receipt from Prince Jewellery as well (which does exist and is a retailer of many high-end watch brands).Regardless of if it's a fake or not, does Longines use different dials on the same model number? Thanks.
I am starting this thread because I couldn't find a similar one. If this is a duplicate or in the wrong place, feel free to kill it or move it where it belongs.First let me say that I love the new software and new look to the forum. I have a couple of suggestions or comments.1. Access to the settings that allow us to change number of threads per page, number of messages per page and similar. I believe this software has the ability for us to make those changes, only effecting our personal user account. (maybe I just have not found that here yet)2. As time permits, the ablility to change between available templates for the forum. (a forum I belong to that uses vbulletin has 6 different "looks" that are set in the user cp)3. In the Quick Links area, can we add one to show threads that we have posted in?4. Oh and where is the casino? (only kidding about that one)Again, I love all the work that has been done so far.Dave(edit to add: )Oh and I forgot...maybe a spell checker for those wh
Hi guys!,appreciate any informed opinions on this model especially with regard as a daily wearer/reliability overall quality/finish and general pricing structure, i get the impression in the states AP are relatively heavyly discounted but can't see that here in the UK with our limited AP AD networkmany thanksregardssteve
Had my eye on a North Flag for a few years and never quite managed to pull the trigger. Usually I went for something else like a Black Bay or Pelagos and funds are limited so was content to just hold out. Last summer I was in the AD, ready to buy, watch on my wrist etc and couldnt get any decent sort of deal so once again held off. The watch gods rewarded me a week ago. A stumbled across a brand new with a huge discount. I nearly passed out when seeing a deal on a watch that I had been lusting after for years. Absolutely loving it. Like all Tudors it looks stunning in the flesh (metal) and the attention to detail is incredible. The bracelet at first glance is fairly industrial looking but has polished edges to the links so it sparkles in some light. I seem to struggle to get the bracelet nicely sized and want to buy a decent screwdriver to swap out links. Does anyone know the screw size in the NF bracelet? Ive got a couple of screwdrivers and theyre all too big for the N
