Baume & Mercier MOA08869 wrist watches news:
Dear fellow Patek owners:I am interested to learn from this forum users their negative experiences regarding the use of mini-rotors in Patek watches. Obviously, Patek watches are excellent overall. However, there has been some spotty information on the web that suggests mini-rotors are relatively inefficient to wind the watches. This information is from mid 2000. Thus I am wondering if there are any new negative experiences with mini-rotor watches that still persist today. Please note: I am not trying to create a negative impression of Patek, however, these forums should enable us to learn issues/problems that we should be aware of so that we can make more informed decisions before our next purchase. I am a satisfied owner of Patek 5140, 5110, and 5146, so the last thing I want to do is to damage the image of Patek. However, I am disappointed by other Patek forums that prohibit the discussion of any negative issues and or concerns regarding watches.
Had a chance to meet with Adam (member GLADIATOR) and Susan today to talk watches and grab a bite to eat. This watch is featured in the Horology 101 installment "The History of Self Winding Watches" since it's the first automatic wrist watch ever produced. Next is a brand that has a full rotor auto, and a very efficient one at that:What a pity British horology fell by the wayside. Hey, had to sneak in a wrist shot, right? This is actually the first watch he showed me, and is equally interesting - a Peseux Jump hour from the mid-30's:Next is the watch Adam was wearing:The case was very cool, but I'll let Adam tell the story when he gets a chance.Of course he had a sterling
Given the problems with posting photos found on the internet, I just wanted to take a photo from my own image bank, and see if it would post:
I¡¯m pulling for the Astros but the Dodgers manager , Dave Roberts, appears to be wearing an AP Diver- black dial. He¡¯s ok in my book. Here is an old pic I found. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I ordered 15407ST from an AP boutique that should be here in a couple of months. I have seen the watch once and I thought it looked great but hate the fact I'm paying full retail price for it.
