Baume & Mercier no : 38393 9 et 114445 2 wrist watches news:
Hello,I have been lurking in this wonderful forum for awhile now. I was wondering what would be recommended for buying a previously owned Speedy Pro, specifically the 3572.50. If the manufacture or last service date is unknown, would most get it serviced right away or is there a way to know when it needs to be serviced? I am currently keeping an eye on a couple sold by sabashioyakiz1 on ebay. What is thought to be a fair price for a lovingly used 3572.50 in "near mint" condition? I am pretty hung up on the display back or I would consider maybe just buying a new 3570. I am really going back and forth between these and the sapphire sandwich. I am sure I won't be disappointed in any of them but I am far from wealthy and this may be my only luxury watch purchase for a very long time so I want to make the best decision for myself. I would also like to add that I am pretty much brand new to all of this so excuse me if all this has been covered before. Thanks in advance for your input
Hey gents,I have a small problem with my Omega Seamaster Chrono 176.005. The gasket between the case and the crystal (the thing that hold the crystal) was gone a couple of days ago. the crystal actually fell out of the case and the gasket/seal came out in parts. took it to my watchmaker and he told me that the gasket actually died due to its age. I'm searching for a new gasket and it seems that OFREI has it, but I'm not sure if that is the right thing to purchase for my watch?link to OFREI's listing of gasketsthanks for reading and thanks for your help in advance!
Please take a look at this watch and let me know if you think this watch is an authentic IWC aquatimer tribute to Calypso.ThanksMark
I've recently noticed that my watch is losing some seconds everyday. I decide to stop in the Patek service center in Rockerfeller plaza. After a quick service I was told my watch falls into specs. The service advisor recommended when I'm not wearing the watch to keep it crown up. Anyhow attached is the printout of the the service. Any further information about the print out would help. I understand the diagrams on the left are crown postion but what do the other numbers mean. Thanks everyone.
Hi guys,I'll be doing a purchase in the upcoming couple of weeks and I'm a bit undecided actually. My intention is to add 2 valuable piece of Patek to my current collection. The first one is decided, it is going to be a 5270G. I have my eye on it for a long time now and I would like to own one very much. The other one is a true dilemma for me. I like to wear the watch as much as possible, but on the other hand, I'm trying to get the rare pieces as possible. For me, there are 3 candidates.1. 5711PI wouldn't actually think of another reference if I have my hands on one of this very rare pieces, but I'm not sure if i ever can get it, so I need to have some alternatives, thus this thread exists. This is the true simple but one of the most exclusive piece for me. I was thinking about getting a 5711/1A because of my admiration to its pure simple design, now it has added rarity and exclusivity. But as I said, I'm not sure about the availability, so the poll is really about the other 2 candidates
