Bell Ross BR01-92-BD-B-V-27 wrist watches news:
Hello again all.So much experience here, hopefully someone can help. First, the story on this watch. It's my father's, and the one that put the hook in me for watches. He bought it in Singapore in '59 or '60 while working his way around the world-sometimes as a diver. He wore it continously until the early 80's when the case seal was compromised and condensation got in. He threw it in the drawer, expecting it to be done for good. I rescued it about 16 years ago and sent it to the Omega dealer in Calgary for repair. They shipped it to a fellow in Vancouver who did the work. Luckily, the movement (501) was fine and only required a cleaning. He advised against redoing the dial so I have kept it original, water stains & all. He said he was unable to determine what the correct bezel should have been for this watch, so he installed the one you see on it.(it had no insert and was just a stainless, non-rotating ring. My wife made the bezel insert on her laser engraver). The bezel is the co
Hello Gentlemen, I am a new member to this forum and would value your opinion. Am just about to pull the trigger on a Big Pilot. I have seen the Steel version and adore it. Unfortunately i have not been able to view the White Gold version in the flesh. Would those who have please make an comparison between the two in aesthetics and general value.Happy Times Always.....
Hello all,I just registered here after I read some informative posts from the community of people. I love this aspect of the Internet when people can come together to discuss information and help others make informed decisions. My question is: What are the reputable online sellers for watches?I know I have saw discountwatchstore mentioned a few times on here, and my friend has picked up a Panerai from watchuwant and was completely satisfied as well.I have my eye on an IWC Portifino but want to ensure I am getting the real deal. Again, any help would be appreciated and hopefully I can post some pics of my new IWC in the near future.Regards,Brad
I just had to share this. So I am waiting in line ready to board a flight with my wife and kids. The guy in front of me is wearing a really shiny silver 44mm ROO. So I wait to asking in as it has a blue rubber strap if that is the SS navy. His eyes light up and says no, but I have one at home as well. So I comment as I noticed how shiny and bright it looks. He looks at my wrist and sees I am wearing my DSSD, he then asks me if I want to try it on. Sure, he takes it off and I hand him my Rolex. I am holding it and comment how heavy it is for a stainless steel, and mention I have had SS AP before and it didn't feel like that. He says no, it's not SS, I then looked up at him and I said, holy crap, this is the platinum. What a really cool and nice guy, he says rarely anyone notices the watch and he was super excited to meet someone who loved watches. Crazy nice things happen in WIS land. I'm obviously very new here and to the world of Rolex. I currently own a TAG Calibre 5, and I am getting very close to purchasing my first Rolex, a very basic, and beautiful, Submariner Date in black. It seems like a perfect first Rolex. My question... is there any where to purchase this watch where I can negotiate the selling price? My guess would be no, as I've asked around at several different shops and they all give me the same answer, that it's a professional series piece and they only go for retail. I figured I'd ask here anyways. If anybody knows, I'm sure he's on here somewhere...
