Bell & Ross BR01-94 Carbon wrist watches news:
As some of you who may have read my threads, you will recall I threatened to begin collecting Rolex watches. Being a neophyte at this I have some questions.I came across a watch on the web being offered by a seller in Canada who has a lot of used Rolexes in inventory, some of them seem nice. I saw one that interests me. It is a very old watch that appears to be in very good condition, currently in the possession of another collector. Its not cheap but its not expensive either and might be a good first effort at accumulating more Rolexes. But I have questions:1. How does one assure they are dealing with a reputable business? If the business is stateside it would be worth just flying there. What the heck, if you¡¯re going to plop down several thousand dollars for the watch, why not fly there for a few hundred dollars, get some eye contact, and check the merchandise before purchase. But if they are, say, in London, it might be a trade-off to do a trip?2. Concerning the purchase o
I'm looking for a 2284.50 (28 mm Case, quartz, of course, Classic black seamaster) but it must have the bond style bracelet. I already googled till I'm at the point of verbal venting. Found one on eBay but don't want to buy used. Any help appreciated. I'm in SC. As a side note, I got my seamaster back today with the non-americas cup dial installed. Gotta get a bond bracelet for it now, too. I shot some pics, but nothing of quality to post here. I'll monkey with the camera some more tomorrow. The applied markers and shiny raised omega logo really make a difference, if you're a watch nut and look that close. More to follow...
Has any members have any problem with is models I've been eyeing this watch for awhile. My first Kinetic Any feed back will nice.]Seiko Men's Arctura Kinetic Chronograph Watch #SNL001
Greetings TRF,For a long time I've had this question and I always kept it to myself because I thought I'd find the information elsewhere but, alas, I couldn't...Could anybody please explain to me how the chronograph on the Patek Philippe 5960 and 5980 models works? From my observations I came to those two conclusions:- There's no regular second hand on the watch, the big one is used for the chronograph complication.- The bullseye subdial contains both the chronograph minute and hour register. With those information, I'd like to know if the chronograph's minute hand has to do two complete turns before making the hour hand move. If so, how does one know if the hand is on its first turn or its second? As well, is it possible that the conclusions I came to are wrong? That watch is quite incredible to admire but I always feel like I can't appreciate its view enough since I always have to ask myself those questions...Here are some pictures to amuse you my friends, thank you for taking the tim
I've been reading how members have been consolidating and I also have been thinking the same.Stopped by the bank today and took a quick pic. In an ideal world I would rotate on a regular basis, but I just don't make the effort to frequent the bank, and will end up wearing the same watch for months on end. I started out as a one watch owner, but this forum is like an all-you-can-eat buffet, and then started collecting but I dont think I'm a collector at heart.Every time I think I'm going to depart with one of these watches, I then have a hard time...but I'm coming around. Lately I've been thinking of selling a couple to fund a PM piece, but then not sure if thats real prudent, as you can see they're all out of production, and additionally all are full sets except for the bart and speedy (145.022-69).Oh, and extra vintage bezel inserts, and bracelets not pictured. geez. lol.Anyone have similar story as to how it pains them to see their beauties squirreled away??Sent from my SM-G920V usin
