A Nice Watch For The Angularly Inclined: The Paul Picot Le Plongeur C-Type Dive Watch
I feel as though I have a duty to tell people about less well-known brands that offer meritorious watches. Paul Picot is one of those brands that most of you have probably not heard of, but can appreciate the looks of their flagship men's watch, the C-Type.A watch that uses this many squares ought to get a prize. I hesitated, but opted not to picture the square (tank) face version of the watch as that might be considered to be overkill (actually, I will go ahead and throw the picture on here). Instead, you can appreciate the geometry in this watch easily with a round face, but otherwise abundantly placed square elements.The watch is actually a well finished diving watch with a lot going for it. It has been around for a few years, and the styling is quite cool in my opinion. Squares pattern the rubber strap, number indicators, and texture on the face. "Raleigh" dial question
Just received my Hamilton Raleigh (Ca. 1930) back from the watch doctor. The restoration included a case "replating" of the 14K gold fill (cost almost as much as the watch! ). The old case was pretty beat up and had a chip in the bezel.Anyway, I've not seen a picture of this dial on the older Raleigh. The pictures I've seen are all lume numerals with the typical skeletal hour and minute hands one sees with the Hamilton lume dials. I'm wondering, is it an original dial or an inaccurate re-dial? thanksMark

Hey guys,One of the cheap tool that i find essential for greater appreciation of fine watches is the 4X Loupe. I wonder how many of us owns one and bring it along when we shop for watches. The Loupe is great tool to examine the workmanship of the watch - dial, markers, etc...So let's see how many of us have one and if you havent got one, get one. It really dont cost a lot but useful just like that bracelet spring bar. I have the Bausch & Lomb's 4X and 10x loupe.

I am new to the Omega vintage world. I have learned alot about the new omega watches.... but now... I want to learn about the vintage brand.I would like to know the difference between the vintage Seamaster, Deville, and Constellations.They all seem to look the same maybe on difference bands.I know they do have different movements.Are the constellation lines better then all others? the price seem to reflect that.

I¡¯ve always preferred a rubber strap. I¡¯ve always liked the size of the Daytona I like contrast in a dial. I like the ability to have a sub-timer. I like lume. This watch is awesome.
