A. Lange & S?hne has announced that Michelle Veyna has joined the brand as sales manager for the North American market. Ms. Veyna has over 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as president of the North American division of Parmigiani Fleurier from 2003 to 2010. Prior to that, she served as vice president of sales and marketing for Helvetia Time Corporation, where she distributed Roger Dubuis, among other brands. New Boulton with wrist shot, sort of?
I have been lazy and using my point and shoot and all my other watches seem to let me get buy with it. For some reason this Boulton just does not. I guess I am going to have to break out the SLR but not until this weekend.Here is what I think of the watch. Fit and finish is excellent and you can not even feel it on your wrist. In that area, I am just a little disappointed. It is extremely lite (it is a quartz) but much liter than other quartz I have relatively the same size. Makes you feel like they went thin on the metal.If you like the style of watches out of the 40's you will love this! I keep glancing down at my wrist and smile as it has the look of the watches my father wore when I was growing up. In fact although I find manuals worrisome (having to wind) I believe if I could have opted for this watch as a manual, I would have done that just to have it more like the watch from it's era.4.5 stars out of 5. Strap suggestions for 5170-010.
Hello Everyone.As mentioned earlier, I recently acquired the 5170 with black dial (white seconds hand). I really do not like the shiny black strap on it and wanted to know what the group here thinks would be a good option...I'm planning on ordering a custom strap and not OEM from Patek so any colour combination is possible. 1. Matt Black with Black stitching main difference is going from shiny to matt which would match the opaline (matt) black dial better and dress it down.2. Matt Black with White (or Silvery) stictchiing which gives it a more sporty look and also ties in the white of the seconds hand. 3. Something totally different??? What would you suggest.I was leaning towards going with Matt Black with White stitching at first but a good friend said that it might draw away attention to the already nice white seconds hand instead of complimenting it.Would love to know what everyone things or would suggest.

Oysterquartz Service Going Forward
From what I have read, Oysterquartz production ended around 2001 or about seventeen years ago. While the movement has a lot of mechanical parts that are common with other movements, the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) is unique to this series of timepieces. In addition, European requirements since 2001 drove changes to eliminate lead in the environment, so there is some question about the availability of the PCBA going forward.Has Rolex provided any information on how long spare PCBAs will be available? Can the PCBA be replaced by anyone outside of the RSC? In other words, can a watchmaker with a Rolex parts account order the PCBA? I am considering purchasing one, but I want to have a watch that keeps time, not something that shows the correct time twice per day.
