Faced with a dilemma. Once again. Its not the pressing kind, and its one that I most likely will not have to deal with. But the day will come. Oh, loath the day that our precious Hamilton Electric Watches (HEW) begin to become rarer and rarer to the point where only the scarcest and rarest are kept alive, with the few spare parts necessary to keep them going, but they will dwindle.It has been said that the parts for repairing the HEW are finite. That is a very sad future indeed. It has also been said that without a stock of OEM or NOS replacement parts what is eventually done is that other less desirable HEWs are scavenged for the necessary parts to keep the more desirable HEWs operating. I give three examples. The first being that more common HEWs are purchased from various sources to create and maintain a stockpile to keep the other going. The second being that certain high value parts are harvested from lesser watches to the same end and then sold as “not currently runningR

Hi Fellow AP Fans,I just picked up a bumble bee over the weekend and wanted to swap the hornback strap for driver rubber one with tang buckle.I've spoken to few AD's in London (wempe and harrods) and they claim its not possible !Can someone please send me model numbers for Driver Rubber strap that fit on bumble bee and the black or ss tang buckle (think black one is know as survivor buckle)I was initially going to get the rubber clad but as probably be my only AP I wanted carbon model and waited abit longer. I liked look and the feel of new carbon driver but bb worked out same pricewise so seemed liked better deal to me.Seen few members post some pictures with driver strap so know its should be possible.Also if anyone know good place in UK to get these as the AD are quoting 8 week from orderGlad to finally be member of AP club and long last.many thanks in advance

Need help deciding between a Submariner 114060 and a Black Bay Steel 79730
Hello All,I have been doing research in the past couple weeks to decide on my first purchase. Personally, I¡¯m not a big fan of the iconic cyclops and I have got a relatively small wrist. That narrowed my options down to the Rolex Submariner 114060 and Tudor Heritage Black Bay Steel 79730. However, it is a difficult decision to make, and I¡¯m hoping to get some advice/ suggestions from your expertise. I have listed some of the major differences/ concerns between the two to ease the comparison.
