- I liked my watch very much. I ordered the one with the red band. The reason for 4 stars was due to expecting more bling, otherwise a great watch.

Hi folks. This is my first visit to the forums this year, although I have been a member since 2008, just after I bought a Hamilton Jazzmaster viewmatic. The watch is a beauty and still holds a special place as my first real watch. Then, in 2009, my dad bought a Tag Carrera chrono, which he didn't like much in terms of low light visibility and gave to me. In 2012 my collection grew to incorporate a Hamilton Khaki diver. Then post graduation, marriage, job and baby happened and a quartz watch gifted to me by my wife saw the maximum wrist time. Working conditions were not ideal for a dressy automatic (hospital wards, frequent handwashing, blood, hand sanitizer, etc) and I was thinking of getting an auto diver which would not be too expensive so that I could wear it without too much worry everyday and give a good rinse when needed. I was introduced to the OM on this forum and when I saw it during a casual visit to my local dealer, I just couldn't resist. The force was just too strong. As a

I recently received my ref 96 back from service and got the Extract from the Archives as well, it was my grandfather’s watch and its been passed down. My dad always thought he bought it in the early 50s, but according to the extract from the archives it was purchased in 1948, which is pretty cool because my grandfather had to flee the Czech Republic and then fought during the war so he had nothing, and he must have done fairly well in the three years from the end of the war to when he bought this.My question is does anyone have information on Guillermin & Co? I see here on the Extract from he Archives that it says the case “112” was provided by Guillermin & Co, and there is no registered case number from PP. It also says that the type of watch is movement only. Does this mean that the movement was purchased by Guillermin & Co, and then cased by them and sold as a Patek Philippe? Any info would be nice, I am just trying to get some info about this watch as
