Breguet 8909BB/VD/864.D00D wrist watches news:
What's with the little canteen lid looking cap on the crown of the Frogman series? Is it functional or purely cosmetic? My guess is that it functions as a "screw down crown".
Hello everyone! My name is Lazaro, but you all can call me Laz. I need some help guys! I'm in the process of buying my dad an IWC, but I have been wrestling with a few of the models. I have a price budge of 6 grand- if I have to kick in a few more hundred bucks- I will do it.Anyway, my dad owns a couple of IWC's already. He loves the darn company. He has approximately three or four of their watches, including the small pilot watch and a few of the diving watches. (I don't know the name of all the styles) I was thinking about getting him the 7 day power reserve (with the white face and the blue little numbers) or the Big Pilot. Let me tell you a little about my dadHe's an attorney, 46 years of age, and loves cool watches. What do you guys think? Please help me!!!!!PS Whoever the guy is with the nice shirts, GOD!!! Those shirts are nice!!!!
Hey everyone,Bill (goapa) had a great idea in the Lum-Tec forum of an ATLANTA area get together. If you're in the Atlanta area or can get to the Atlanta area, let us know! Please reply to this thread if you'd be interested in the GTG. It would be a Saturday afternoon, sometime (hopefully) end of February or March. The place would be determined most likely by where the largest concentration of people at at.So if you're able or interested in the GTG, please reply to this thread. We need to know:You're interestedWhat part of town you live in (county is fine if you don't want to provide your city)And Saturdays between mid-February and end of March that you WOULDN'T be able to goReply to this or the thread in the Lum-Tec forum, and we'll get it set up. If you've never been to a GTG before, they are a LOT of fun! It starts out about focused on the watches, but quickly becomes about the people. I've met more fine people than I've ever imagined I would, and some close friends, just fro

So there are no local Patek ADs for me, I have to get on a plane or drive 10-12 hours. I have contacted 3 of the Canadian Patek ADs and received a response from 2, only one of which actually answered any of my questions and was polite and friendly. The issue is they are in Alberta and I am in Nova Scotia, so about a 7 hour flight. The guy I was talking to mentioned I would be able to put a deposit down to get on a waiting list for a watch (I want a 5167A) but to make the purchase I would need to come in, in person. Which wouldn't be a big deal.My question is, does anyone else travel to deal with their established AD, aside from the time and travel costs are there any cons to doing so? Do they allow you to ship them your watch for service? This is one thing I will need to confirm as when looking into the Vacheron overseas, their closest AD said I could not ship my watch to them for them to service and I would need to fly there and deliver it in person for every issue and service.
