Bell & Ross BR01-92 wrist watches news:
Omega has signed an agreement with the IOC to be the official timekeeper for the Olympic Games through 2020. The signing ceremony and announcement took place at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. Omega’s relationship with the Olympics dates to the 1932 Los Angeles games, where they became the first company entrusted with the official timekeeping for all events. The new agreement cements Omega’s position for the winter games in Sochi, Russia in 2014, and the games of 2016, 2018 and 2020. Omega’s current IOC contract, signed in 2001, expires with the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London in 2012. The signing ceremony for the new agreement got under way when IOC President Jacques Rogge and Nicolas G. Hayek Sr., the Chairman of the Swatch Group, rang one of the Olympic bells used to signal the beginning of a final lap in the longer sporting competitions. Mr. Rogge and Mr. Hayek were joined at the event by Nick Hayek Jr., the Group¡¯s CEO, and Stephen Urquhart, the
This is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Laptimer, a brand new "RO Concept" that I feel may very well be the most striking Royal Oak iteration?since the Offshore Survivor. As its name suggests, this brand new, highly complicated movement was created to be able to measure and record a series of consecutive lap times. Such a watch?was commissioned?back in 2010 by Audemars Piguet ambassador and 7-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, and it took the?manufacture almost five years to come up with a solution ¨C and fit it into what else but the Concept case, dressed in forged carbon and titanium. In discussions with master watchmakers over the last few years, I have often taken the opportunity to ask, when creating a new movement from scratch,?what?complication is the most?challenging to conceive and produce.?I would venture saying that the single-axis tourbillon, no matter how tirelessly fascinating and beautiful,?was not once mentioned: it was more of a dead heat between chi
This is very comfortable to wear..

Soo just this week I acquired a late 60s pre-moon speedmaster in fairly good shape that I have fallen in love with. While walking around downtown this week I stopped to check the time on my watch and much to my dismay the top (start / stop) pusher on the speedy was gone. I looked around but could not find it anywhere.I've checked online and see that I can source the part for fairly cheap (its a 145.022) from ofrei. However, I am afraid I might need other parts or tools to install it (new tube? spring?, etc?). I called some Omega dealers and they suggested it would have to go to Omega / Swatch for a service which will likely run me $800. The watch is not running at factory standars (its losing/gaining 9 seconds a day) so Omega would require me to take a full service.Any thoughts on what options I might have? The watch has not been serviced since 1999 so it is due (though its still keeping decent time). Should I take the plunge and get the full service or is there a band-aid solution tha
