After having spent a few weeks wearing the Orient Masquerade I can confidently say that this is a great watch. It is built well, looks great, feels good to wear, is very unique and is quite affordable. I covered many of my opinions in my initial impressions a couple of weeks ago, but wanted to present some more substantial views here.Case: Stainless Steel w/ IP CoatingMovement: Orient Caliber 46S50 21 Jewel Automatic w/ dateDial: Multi-layeredLens: Mineral CrystalCase Back: Polished Stainless SteelStrap: Beige Genuine LeatherWater Res.: 5atm (50m/150f)Dimensions (rectangular): 46m x 35m (38 w/crown)Thickness: 12mmLug Width: 25mmWarranty: 1 year international guaranteeThe Masquerade is a well-built watch with a confidence inspiring weight to it. Please keep your eyes out for this watch. It was one of 8 that I had stolen earlier this week. Thanks guys.
We just went our annual anniversary trip and some of you may remember last year I was eying a new Breitling Superocean , but I said I wasn't going to buy anymore.I had just returned my wife's watch I got her for her birthday after it quit, she ended up replacing a $600+ dollar watch with a $65 Invicta with 5 interchangeable colored straps...go figure.Well yesterday I was again looking at the old style Superocean (with the solid numbers) and she started haggling with the owner (a super nice guy) and after lunch we went over and she haggled another bit and got even more $$$ off the asking price. After sizing it and filling out the paperwork , while my wife and his looked over, a bunch of Richard Mille...I walked out with my first Breitling. My wife really liked it because it's sooo shiny! (which it is).So here's the "re-unveiling" at home this afternoon.
Hi All,I was thinking about trading my AP 26400SO + a bit of cash for a Rolex 116619 Smurf? I have always wanted a Rolex PM and I was just thinking that going from AP to Rolex is like taking a step down in a sense especially in this case when both watches are valued so closely in terms of $.What do you guys think? Would just want input to see if I'll pull the trigger or not. Thanks!
