SIHH 2013 Preview: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication
This year, Audemars Piguet celebrated the 40th anniversary of the original Royal Oak. Next year marks two decades of the larger, sportier Royal Oak Offshore, and Audemars Piguet plans to commemorate the milestone with the release of the extremely limited Royal Oak Grande Complication. The watch makes its debut at the SIHH watch fair in January, but the company has offered a tantalizing glimpse of it now.Audemars Piguet launched the Royal Oak Offshore in 1993, but the family-owned watch company, based in Le Brassus, Switzerland, has a history of making grand complications that stretches back to 1882. That historic expertise is on prominent display in this timepiece, which includes three “classic complications:” a split-seconds chronograph, a minute repeater, and a perpetual calendar.The movement that unites all of these functions, along with the hours, minutes and small seconds, is Audemars Piguet’s self-winding Caliber 2885, which has an astonishing 648 parts, 52 jewe

Bell & Ross WW1 Collection Launch Party
Bell & Ross recently presented its new WW1 collection at the historic H?tel National des Invalides whose famed Eglise du Dome houses Emperor Napoleon I¡¯s tomb. This new collection, which includes a pocket watch (the PW1) as well as the WW1 wristwatch, traces the evolution of timepieces from the pocket to the wrist. Guests had the opportunity to visit the famous Mus¨¦e de l¡¯Arm¨¦e and then gathered in a sumptuous ballroom to enjoy exquisite French cuisine and vintage Champagne. After admiring the watches, the guests could stroll along the walkways overlooking the square courtyard of the Invalides to soak up the historic atmosphere. The nearly 300 guests included media personalities, French military officers, political figures and watch aficionados.

Is This A Re-Dial ??????
...After reading several threads about re-dials and how it used to be part of the regular servicing , ...I am wondering about this dial.......I have been saying its the original dial....but now.....eeesh ....have I been telling the truthso, re-dial specialists......it it real or is it re-dial ?????thanks ! whatcha think ?
