Looking For Advice on Pocket Watches
I've never been very happy with wrist watches; my hobbies require free wrist movement, and now that I'm getting into building electronics, I don't have a watch on 90% of the time anyways. I've been using my clunky old cell phone as a temporary timekeeping device, but I'd like something a bit, well, more watch-like.So I've set myself on purchasing a lovely new pocket watch. I'd like to fine one for under $100 that'll last me a while, and preferably one which comes with a warranty as well. Is this doable, or should I just attach a watch chain to my old scratched Ironman wristwatch? As for the look of the watchAnything that "flips" open would be nice, in order to protect the face. Self-winding is by all means not necessary. I've seen some really high-end watches with "see-through" faces that allow you see the mechanism within, yet I have hunch this look is not "dobale" for under a hundred bucks, but heywho knows?
