GMT misaligned hands?
I have three Rolexes, one is a new GMT bought in December 08. I have previously had GMTs from Omega and TAG.The 24 hour hand on the Rolex did not align with the hour indicator when the minute hand was at 1200. There was a good 2-1/2 minutes delay before the 24 hour hand was exactly in line with the hour marker. The watch has been back to the AD three times and to the factory for adjustment. There is still some misaglinment, about 1 minute between the hours of 1200 and 2400 on the 24 hour hand. Going "down" the dial from 2400 to 1200 there does not seem to be any misalignment. I could not see that either my Omega or TAG had the same problem.Has anyone else experienced this?Rgds,

Been poking around the forums and have been reading an interesting thread about dress watches on the Omega thread. The overall consensus with the Omega boys - but by no means an absolute - is that a dress watch should be plain of face and on a leather strap - the De Ville range seems to fit the bill. However, if you are a Breitling DieHard which Breitling really fits the bill as a dress watch?

Just browsing the bay today and I noticed a couple of watches that are going for $19.99 that are worth much more than that. They are the Victorinox V7-25x's. They use the 251.262 (23 jewel I think) quartz chronograph movement used in high end watches, 200m resistance, sapphire. I had a similar model and the construction was nicethe seller says new but may need batteries, still a heck of a deal on a watch worth far more than $20. Just look up Victorinox Blue and they will show up! BTW, I'm not affiliated with the sellers or bidders of this auction!

Ugh...the noise...the noise!!
I need to start by saying that I absolutely love my Patek 5164. The look is the perfect combination of luxury and stealth. Plus, it feels unbelievable on the wrist. The tropical strap makes it a perfect summer watch when those hot, humid temperatures would ruin a leather strap. I could go on and on singing the praises of this amazing watch. But........But I have to admit, the noise of the rotor is driving me nuts. I knew the Aquanaut had a reputation for making noise before I bought it. But I never knew it would be so audible. Truthfully, I didn't think it would be a big deal for me. In fact, I kind of thought it might be one of those little endearing traits. But having owned it for quite a while now, it's becoming a severe negative.Honestly, I don't get it. How can a watch that costs over $30k sound like a tin can? It really makes me feel like it's not a well-made product. I'm surprised Mr. Stern approved the release of a product that rattles and hums so audibly. I own se
