Breitling a1338012/c794-ss wrist watches news:
Bad phone pic but thought you might like.
I am ready to pull the trigger on the 8500 XL PO watch. My question though is, why does the one with the rubber strap (w/ orange stitching) differ from the one with the metallic bracelet which is supposedly made of the new liquidmetal and stamped on the back of the skeleton back which is not adorned on this model. Do I need to wait for the latest and greatest still?
Hey guys,I was looking for a book I lent my dad in his room and I came across a plastic bag with watches printed on. Out of curiosity, I checked it out and found a Baume and Mercier Classima Executive watch that my brother gave to him and this gem: A C Shape Constellation! I read that it was designed by Gerald Genta.I never saw him wear this watch since I've always remembered him wearing Rolexes and the occasional Piaget Polo or IWC Ingeneur. But, then again, I wasn't born in the 60's so I may have missed it. hahaAnyway, the thing still works! Although I can't seem to set the time if I turn the crown clockwise, but I can set the time going in reverse. I now plan to have the movement restored at Omega. I hope they won't charge me an arm and a let for it, but even if it did, I still think it's totally worth it since it was my dad's. Size-wise, it's about perfect for a dress watch. Although, there are extremely few occasions where I can wear an all-gold watch. Still, it looks like it's go
so i'm starting to get a little frustrated with rolex as it seems all of the new watches i want to buy i can't actually buy. at least at the retail price. namely, the new daytona (white or black) and the ss pepsi gmt that is coming out. it seems you have to have a relationship with a rolex dealer to get on their preferred waiting list for one of these hot watches. last week i called around a few rolex dealers locally here in los angeles and even out of town to see if i could get on a waiting list for the new ss pepsi. universally they indicated they were giving preferential treatment to their established customers. so basically i have to buy a watch i don't actually want from them to be able to get a watch that i do want? the irony is i own 4 rolexes and a tudor. it's just most of those are vintage and the one more modern one was a gift.i just wanted to vent a little. i imagine there are probably others out there who are experiencing the same frustrations i am.
Ok folks, I¡¯m new here and did my first deal with Superdog last week, and while he¡¯s been like the Yoda for many of my questions via text, I figured I¡¯d throw this softball at the group. I have about 8 watches in the collection, mostly Omega¡¯s, a PAM Sub, and a Tudor BB Heritage Chrono, but the time has come to begin adding the Rolex pieces. While I¡¯m not going to add them all at once (though I can¡¯t guarantee that emotion won¡¯t get the best of me), I¡¯d love everyone¡¯s thoughts on what the must have¡¯s in the collection should be. Below is my list in order of planned acquisition, unless an o[pportunity comes up one of the others (lol...that¡¯s what I say to justify it right?).116710126334 (Blue stick)11610LN116519LN116655Thanks in advance for the feedback, and go easy on me fellas!
