Breitling A 17330-171 wrist watches news:
I have a Seamaster Professional Chronograph 2594.52.00 and a converted 2531.80.00.When I hand wind my 2531.80.00 the action, is as smooth, as silk. However, when I hand wind my 2594.52.00, it feels as though something is grating either within the case or the crown is catching on something. The 2594.52.00 keeps perfect time, all functions work properly and the chronograph hands reset exactly where they should.Should the 2594.52.00 wind as smoothly as the 2531.80.00, or do I have a problem with the 2594.52.00 that requires repairing? The 2594.52.00 is just over four years old. Thanks in advance,Brian
Ok guys, I figured out the weight descrepency between the 44mm RG and Pt pieces!I weighed my watch with the leather strap on, 245.4 grams. Took leather off to throw the white rubber on for a fun day out and about. While apart, I decided to throw the straps on the scale... The leather strap weighed 12.6 grams. Then, I weighed my rubber strap, 34 grams, 21.6 grams more! The newer RG 26401 cases are slightly lighter, and said to be around 220-225 grams, and of course they come WITH the rubber strap. So, the Pt with the rubber weighs about 267 grams, or about 20% more.
Meanwhile, please enjoy this pic of my sweet ROC while waiting for the arrival of your weekend
Hi All, I noticed the Galactic 36 blue dial is Gun Blue whereas the 41 is Metallica Blue. Has anyone seen these side by side?Do you have a dial in either of these 2 colours you can post a pic of? If you happen to go to an AD, can you take a look & snap a pic of either one? LOLThere are 2 AD's near me & neither have either of these in stock. The one saleslady & her co-worker brought out 2 watches, each with different blue dials telling me that the galactic was somewhere between this one & that one. Ya...ok. She seemed put off when I said I wasn't going to spend that kind of money & not see it. Idiot. Then I said...I can buy a Rolex for this money. She didn't appreciate the comment. I followed that up with, I was able to try on & visually look at the Rolex not have 2 salespeople estimate the colour of the dial. Anyway...just curious if anyone can keep an eye out for these 2 if they should pop in to an AD.
Here's an article from the NY Times questioning whether there is a conflict of interest in Omega's sponsoring Phelps and timing his results, particularly in light of his split second victory in the 100 meter butterfly. What's interesting, though, is that the reporter seems to be the one courting the controversy. All of the quotes suggesting there may be a conflict of interest seem to arise from questions or emails from the reporter. Anyway I thought it was an interesting follow-up to the more laudatory article I posted earlier. Note that, according to this article, Olympic officials and not Omega employees perform the actual timing.August 21, 2008By Withholding Photos, Olympic Timekeeper Draws Attention to Relationship With PhelpsBy JER¨¦ LONGMANBEIJING ¡ª After a week of arriving at the finish earlier than anyone else, Michael Phelps arrived fashionably late for a public appearance at the Omega Pavilion on Wednesday, grabbed a chocolate chip cookie on the sly and put his finger to h
