Does any other Hamilton have the same balance assembly as the 987S?Are the balance wheel and hairspring 987S specific? Thanks, Jim
I've been watching the fake/scam sellers on Ebay for quite a while now, so I thought I'd share some of my observations/tips.Described below are 3 of the most common scams running at the moment:1) Clones - those who simply lift a complete listing from another seller and relist the item as their own. Bruce's Slytech was lifted in such a way a while back (I think I ended up buying it twice for $5000 - can I have it now please BigB?). These "sellers" tend to lift items from the site and relist them on the .co.uk site, safe in false assumption that no-one will spot the duplicity. These sellers can be identified by their brand new (usually formed on the day the item was listed) accounts and there insistence on bank wire or WU payment. The main text of the listing will be in perfect english but the payment section will say something like "if you are not to be happy with the goods I will make to you a full refound of your money". The reason for the poor spelling/grammar becomes apparent when y

Kindler & Thorpe are proud to announce that their latest creation simply named ¡°Titanic¡± is now in the final stages of drawing board plan and design. We are pleased to release early details of this grand timepiece that will be completed and displayed on the Kindler & Thorpe website by the end of August 2011*RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15th April 1912.She hit the iceberg four days into the crossing, at 11.40 pm on 14 April 1912, and sank at 2.20 am the following morning, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. In memory of this grand ship and what we hope will be a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives whilst sailing on it, Kindler & Thorpe are producing a special limited edition of one-piece that is to be beautifully and sympathetically embellished by our chief English engraver, Marcus Hunt.To mark
So, in January I ordered a grey leather hornback strap from AP. I did this as I've never been a big fan of the rubber strap for comfort. It arrived after just 7 months! and today I went to have it put on my watch. My first surprise was that it wasn't a hornback as requested and my second surprise was that it wasn't the finish on the leather that I'd requested either. However, I'm actually pretty happy with the result. So here's a photo, the most important thing that they got perfect is the Leo Messi grey that I ordered, in the photo it's hard to tell but it's actually a perfect match with the grey dial.
