Panerai Panerai 46324 wrist watches news:
Well, in a recent thread of mine I posted that my Hamilton Drake stopped ticking altogether. Well, today on March 29 2011, I'll have to officially declare it de-Wait, what's that ticking?...IT LIVES!I don't know how it happened, I must've bumped it the right way. I was about to go off to the watch place today and when I picked it up it just started going strong like it did before. It's been ticking for 3 hours strait and hasn't even paused once! I don't know how it happened, but I'm not going to question a miracle! That was a close one for sure, I was pondering just parting it out, but now I might get a chance to send it off to a good home. I'll take it in anyway just to get it inspected, but I'm already planning on getting Stainless Steel membership; so expect to see it in the FS forum soon!
I posted this in the Rolex forum but thought to be fair I would post it here as well. I am considering selling my 44mm RG ROO and 40th anniversary Jumbo RO for a Platona. Am I crazy?
Greetings TRF,I was on my way to University last Thursday and I thought I could try to take some pictures of my Seamaster Pro while I was in the train. I got the idea when I noticed the reflection of my watch in the window looked quite good and would probably make a good picture. Of course if anybody has similar pictures feel free to post them! I thought this would be different if you compare it to those classic (although very nice) watches and cars threads!Photo0088.jpgPhoto0099.jpgPhoto0089.jpgPhoto0090.jpgOf course there's nothing like listening to some Jimi Hendrix while you're on the rails!Photo0096.jpgAnother reflexion picture in the tunnel.Photo0101.jpgSince my watch got exposed to sunlight the markers and hands got very bright so I thought I'd try to block the lights and get some pictures!Photo0102.jpgPhoto0103.jpgSorry about the bad quality of some pictures but I took them with my phone. Feel free to comment!
Hi guys,Thanks for all the help in picking my next watch!! I'll post pictures in the morning when it arrives. Thx
I live in Chicago, but my family are in Taiwan. Beginning of this year, I asked my brother to put his name on the list for a ceramic Daytona at a authorized dealer where we have bought a few watches from. My brother called me this morning saying a lady at the dealer said they just got a black dial Daytona in and we are on top of the list. Even though white dial is my first choice, I would take a black one any day. I immediately asked my brother to contact the lady and told her we will pay a deposit over the phone to hold it and will pick it up the next day. MSRP in Taiwan is about NT400,000 (USD 13,000). My brother asked if 20% deposit is enough. She said sure, that would be NT100,000 (USD 3600). That's when my brother asked the question, how much is it? The lady responded sticker price is NT400,000, we are selling it for NT500,000. I told him to tell her we are not interested. But I was pretty upset. At least in US, the dealers do not overcharge.
