While on my trip a reader pointed out this eBay auction for an interesting piece of watch and photographic history. It is the Stienbeck Kamerawerk A-B-C Camera watch from 1949. A fully functional worn on the wrist made over 50 years ago. A few years ago, the brand was set up as vehicle for more aggressive German watches that complimented, but did not necessarily compete with the popular Schaumburg line of diving watches.The first NauticFish watches were actually little more than rebranded Scahumburg watches with minor changes. Currently, NauticFish watches have their own special character, but that did not occur over night. Suggestions please - Seiko Kinetic
I am thinking that I would like to add to my collection a watch that I didn't have to wind and set before wearing and so was thinking of a quartz. But I was struck with the thought that a Seiko Kinetic would also fit the bill. If I am correct, once fully charged they will run for years without further charging, yes?So I am after suggestions. This is to be a watch I can wear to work and "good casual" kinds of things. I like divers but probably have enough. I like a complication or two on watches but don't want it to be too busy. Maybe a chrono, maybe a power reserve indicator, maybe GMT. Oh, and not too expensive or hard to get a hold of.So, any suggestions?And please, lots of pics!!
