THE X-33 PROTOTYPE
HiSome years ago on my 20th I was gifted this watch. It was my grandfathers dress watch, he died in 1991. My grandmother kept it safe for over 10 years and restaured it before she gave it to me. As you can understand it holds great sentimental value to me!I would greatly appreciate any info you guys might have on this watch. I have done some research on my own but have found very litle info other than the obvious; the watch is solid 18k gold and has an old quartz movement.Any info/opinions would be greatly appreciated.(Sorry for the crappy picture but my camera was stolen some time ago, so my phone is all I have)
Greetings All,I started a thread some time ago regarding a database for watches (link). After the initial work it sort of languished into nothing and, truth be told, I went back to tracking information in a spreadsheet. I wasn't happy with the direction of the tool I was building and couldn't really find the base for a tool to build from.I got the itch to tackle this again and found a better tool for moving forward. I am pretty pleased with the results so far and thought I would, again, ask for feedback and input. If people like, I can then send you the template file so you too can satisfy the OCD inner being that many of us possess. Here is the "home" page with a picture of each watch (we all take pictures, right?):Here is the watch detail page:What do you think?B
The Missouri History Museum is hosting a 1968 exhibit and it includes Frank Borman's Speedmaster. This was the only pick from my phone that turned out.
