Need help figuring out this Longines 13zn
Hi,My brothers and I inherited this Longines 13zn from our father. Because we didn't know what this watch was worth we contacted Longines for more information and at first they wanted the buy the watch! This is their first reply:Dear Mrs M.,We thank you for contacting us and for your interest in Longines watches.Originally, the serial number 6989700 identifies a wrist-chronograph in steel bearing the reference 5699, fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 13ZN. It was invoiced on 25.10.1948 to the company Wittnauer, which was at that time our agent for the USA.We are in fact interested in buying your watch for our Museum, and are ready to offer you € 26'000.- for it. We hope that this proposal will be acceptable to you and are looking forward to hearing from you.Besides, could you please send us additional pictures of the case back of the watch ?Waiting for your reply, we remain at your entire disposal for any additional information you may require.Sincerely

Broken Crown and Best Service I ever have
Woke up yesterday morning and felt like a day fit with my Omega Chronodiver , so i tried to wind it up and adjust it, when i was about to screw lock in the crown , then to my surprise, the crown didnt want to be locked , ( it seems can be wind up forever and I couldnt feel the usual resistance . worried that something really bad happened, i e-mail the omega service center in Jakarta. I also told them that i bought it in Singapore and I am worried that the international warranty might be an issue here. Less than 3 hours, the service officer Ms Tanti replied me and asked me to bring all the papers (warranty cards etc) together with the watch to be inspected thoroughly. Went to the service center this afternoon and I found the service officer , Ms Tanti with her attentive and very proffesional helpful manner , She told me that although the 2 years warranty had expired 4 days ago, but as a good will from Omega they were willing to replace th parts free of charge . Wow ! what a service.

Tomorrow is a special day. Tens of thousands of Bible experts say the world comes to an end Saturday. Now, I wouldn't mind at all if all of them disappeared up in the clouds, but why does the world have to go up in flames too? I guess we are too arrogant and don't suffer enough, so I am going to make a last ditch personal effort to suffer a little more. If I can convince others to suffer more with me, maybe we can get another year out of this deal - till 2012 like we were promised.I suggest others try to suffer a little more tomorrow to see if we can stop this thing. There has to be more suffering. So, I recommend you wear a watch you haven't worn for a while, maybe one you'd like to flip. Something that gives you a little pain.I'm going quartz. I say we go quartz and hide our treasures so we don't appear so arrogant. Will you wear quartz tomorrow?

Ginza 7...ARRIVAL!!!
My dear TRF friends, it has finally arrived. I went to the AP Boutique in Tokyo, Japan this past June. Although I had dreamed and thought about it, I had to see the Ginza 7 in person (even if I didn't have the cash on hand to buy ASAP). The future Mrs understands my addiction and humored the detour.This only made things worse. I'd think about it all the time. two months passed by... I decided... It was time.A ticket was booked. Calls were made. Emails were sent to the boutique. A wire transfer was put in place. Essentially this became a mission to extract a carbon timepiece from Japan. The only thing was I was going to be in a part of Japan a ways away from Tokyo. So I told the boutique I need delivery...No problem they said.Two days after sending a wire they told me it was on it's way...And now, I present to you...my grail and very first Forged Carbon Offshore as well as my third AP Offshore overall...THE GINZA 7 FORGED CARBON!!!
