Corum 007.400.06/F371-0000 wrist watches news:
And not the good kind of funky! Now, I got this watch a few months ago and right from the get-go I knew something was wrong.First of all, I'd just like to say I have no idea what exactly is broken, I've never had a watch break like this.I mean, I've had watches where the movement seized, I've had watches where the hands had fallen off, I've had watches where the crown came off. But this Elgin? Everything on it looks to be in good shape. Spick, span and clean.Anyway, enough rambling. I don't quiet know how to describe it so I'll do my best. You know that on any watch you can pull the crown up and turn it to set the hands?Well, on this watch it seems to be 'stuck' in that position. Twisting the crown doesn't wind the watch, it just moves the hands. I can't push it down or pull it up any so right now I'm stumped. I know the movement used to work. When I first got it it has this problem but if you spun the hands around a few times it would start ticking and the second hand would move. It doe
1976 King Quartz. I will post pictures when I receive it.
I bought a Hamilton wristwatch on eBay and from what I can glean (I found a listing of a ton of old Hamilton catalogs on another site), I think what I have is a Lester model from 1947 or '48. The movement is a 982, ser# J390010 and it looks to be in very nice condition with an excellent dial.
I know how you guys are all crazy about pictures and pictures...and I literally meant members of the opposite sex are just more visual creatures! hahahaI finally pull the trigger for a blue face watch. I never have a blue face watch and I decided to have one to expand my collection. So it was a 'Blue' day for me, with blue top, blue earrings :) Pretty cool. Blue is once again my favorite colour. I particularly like the the sun decor on the dial, when the appropriate amount of light shines, wow..I will just stare at the watch for 10 seconds, and my friend will laugh at me Just ask me questions if you have.(One thing though, I just wished this was on a brushed steel somehow)ENJOY THE PICTURES:)I am not sure what I was thinking, but this was a rather awkward angle for me.
New to me , just received a 214270 39 mm Explorer 1 - latest incarnation First impression - Nice ! looks and wears better than expected . Easy to read and I need that [ not getting any younger ] Contrast of hands to dial & indices/ numbers is perfect . Size is right for me .36mm have been just too small - I have a small wrist for body size so need a decent size watch 39mm is very good & this actually wears a bit largeHave to give Thanks to DAVIDSW- for making purchase so easy
