Hublot 361.PE.2010.RW.1104 wrist watches news:
Do you think you can make an SD clasp upgrade from a DSSD clasp?thanks!
I doubt I would part with the >$1000 cost of an original Piping Rock, so I snagged this reissue of the 1928 Yankees world championship model on eBay (BIN). Mechanical windup movement, nice shape, and only $260. The two most recent sales were $405 and $360, so I think I did alright. By the way, WTF Member Will Roseman has an original Yankees Piping Rock. seller photosI'll post my own photo in the June Arrival thread after I get the case cleaned up a bit.
I have always been fond of watches and mostly just bought what I thought looked good and didn't focus on quality. I'd like to change that. I'd like to buy my first good quality watch. I have owned a Tissot (old Rock Watch made of a solid piece of stone), a Skaagen branded with a Sharper Image label, a Kenneth Cole and a couple of Fossil watches. I have no idea who makes the clothing brand watches and my latest Fossil is a chronograph and the chronograph part of it has already broken after just 7 months wear. I'd like to find something that looks good and is of good quality as well. I have a few things in mind and I am open to suggestions.Needs:I'd like to keep the cost under $500.I want an automatic. Preferably swiss, but open to japanese if they are any good (you guys tell me)It has to have a metal bandIt has to be water resistant as I will swim & bathe in it.It will be my daily wear watch. (I inspect houses all day and climb on roofs so it needs to be durable)I am only in
I can't justify making the very substantial investment in a vintage a Rolex Chronograph so I ventured into the world of Breitling and just got this beauty back from my watchmaker after a complete overhaul and new factory Crystal installation. Jason will be happy to hear that I did just say No to polishing. This not so little (48mm) gem is a Breitling Chronomat ref. 0818 dating back to about 1969 with a very robust Venus cal. 178 under the hood. I love it and just had to share.
I just sold my Omega Seasmaster GMT, which was getting little or no wrist time, and bought an Omega Speedmaster 3570.50 Moon watch and couldn't be happier about it! I always felt that with its long history a Moon watch was a must in mine or anyone's collection and luckily found one in mint condition (thanks to DavidSW) that will compliment my early 1960's pre-moon watch nicely.
