Raymond Weil Nabucco Va, Pensiero Watch
The major men's watch release from Raymond Weil this year was a new Nabucco (the name sounds too much like Nabisco to me and I think of snacks) Va, Pensiero. The odd, "comma containing" name comes apparently from a famous Verdi chorus. Does this watch remind you of anything Verdi or Opera related? Cause it doesn't for me. Get this, Raymond Weil actually writes this in their press information, the Nabucco Va, Pensiero "exudes the same power and nobility as the great Italian composer's Opera." Wow, I've only seen greater BS while staring at a cow's ass.I hope someone who writes for Raymond Weil got a bonus for that gem of a quote. There is nothing wrong with the sand-blasted titanium watch, but lets not get all operatic here. This is no watch to sing about. Though you could buy one and play some Verdi music during a video recorded "un-boxing" session. Waltham Ladies' Watches
I am glad to see some ladies' watches being posted. As I may have mentioned, my wristwatch interests include Waltham's ladies watches, primarily from the dawn of American wristwatches ('teens and 'twenties). I have had this 1921 advertisement in my collection for quite a while. This is a 5-1/4 ligne rectangular movement (mistakenly described as 7-1/2 ligne) and was one of Waltham's finest. Note the gold jewel settings and gear train. Steinhart Aircraft 8
Well, well, well.Seems that a local online-shop is now selling Steinhart (that's Debaufre for you nowadays) watches, which is good news for me :)I've adored the Aircraft 8 since I first saw it, but been a little put off by the price. But now it seems that they're getting rid of old inventory for a good price, so I'm actually considering buying it . It's a white faced special edition with a dark brown leather strapments, opinions? I know it's big, just the way I'd want a watch like this to be.Pics would be awful nice, I found one posted (and taken)by AutoMovt which is BEAUTIFUL!

Wittnauer Ladies 14K gold watch 1950's
I inherited my mothers 1950's Wittnauer 14k white gold watch with 2 small diamonds. I can't locate a serial number. The movement markings are: Wittnauer Co Inc Swiss seventeen 17 jewel. AXA 5JHCan anyone help me date it? I'm trying to see if it is the watch my father gave my mother on their wedding day in 1953.
