JeanRichard Diverscope JR1000 Diving Watch
Now this is a nice diving watch. I find it refreshing to see a simple and straight forward design execution such as this. What else would you expect from JeanRichard, Girard Perregaux's baby brand? The Diverscope JR1000 watch has the sensibility of somewhere between a Rolex Submariner and a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. The design is not quite as refined as those two, but the look is really fantastic and the straight-forwardness of the design is appealing and welcome. The Diverscope is watch from the 1960's and here is a modern rendition of the look. Me liking it, as well as the other aforementioned diving watches probably means I like retro design better than moderns design! But hey, a lot of modern diver's watches are way to cluttered and "noisy." Too much going on is distracting and will prevent a watch from being a favored daily wear.There is a lot to like about this watch. Swatch Switches Gears, Plans Smart Watch, Says Wall Street Journal
For the longest time, Swiss executives had pretended that the looming Smartwatch category would have little effect on their business. But today, the Wall Street Journal reports that Swatch will add fitness capabilities to some of its touch line of watches. The products will be first shown in 2015. 1915 Elgin Trench Watch, Unusual Case Design
I just finished this 1915 WWI Elgin Trench Watch today. Rather unusual case design, the fixed lugs are attached to the bezel. I love these no-name nickel trench watch cases! I find these no-namers to be of higher quality than a lot of the major name brand cases of the era. The bezels and case backs from this mystery manufacturer ALWAYS snap VERY crisply into place. Honestly, at times they are rather hard to take apart without damaging the case the seal is so tight. I restored the original Elgin military hands, new crystal, new 16mm strap, original Elgin military dial with no hairlines, 7 jewel serviced movement. This is the first finished product using my new pro grade polishing machine. I think that it turned out very well. The case back still has a few nicks but some stuff just does not come out.

Hey guys!I'm currently working on a watch for a client, a gen 3 Waltham Depollier Waterproof Watch. It's not everyday that one has the opportunity to work on one of the most desirable timepieces from American history.So, every time I get one of these in my hands I spend A LOT of time examining every single last detail of the watch, inside and out.While doing my very thorough examination I noticed something VERY strange that I have NEVER seen before on any Waltham Depollier Waterproof Watch.This has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the black finish on the case so lets NOT even go down that road again!1) Can any of you see what I see that is incredibly strange?2) Have you ever seen this oddity before?In this picture I adjusted the contrast intentionally.

Omega Speedmaster First Generation Moon Watch Ref. 145.022-69ST Post Moon with the first generation back case. The first watch worn on the moon all in one rowHere you can find a extremely rare Omega Speedmaster not only because of the condition but for the fact that these do no simply exist outside private collections anymore. For any collector this is a rare find. The bracelet is 1175/640 also extremely rare and the correct one by the way. These bracelets sell for 1000 USD alone and not in mint condition like this one. The watch was part of a private collection and was never worn. It was serviced every couple of years and all the seals inside were changed by a Omega Authorized Service. The movement is cal. 861 and is in a new condition. The watch also has the original anti-magnetic movement dust-cover . Original hesalite crystal has the omega logo on the inside and has absolutely not a single scratch. Not even micro scratches. Ref. Number is 145.022-69ST and movement serial is 3161
