Breitling Black Dial wrist watches news:
Panerai is an often polarizing brand that has, in recent years, seen a massive spike in popularity and has become a somewhat household name in men's luxury wrist watches. Now, often included in the brands that your non-watchnerd friends are aware of, they hold rank in upscale jewellery boutiques alongside Breitling and Rolex. Personally, I have loved the Panerai Radiomir as long as I have loved watches, but both the price and the case size has often been too much for my reality. While SIHH saw quite a few new models from Panerai, none were as intriguing to me as the Luminor 1950 Regatta 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Titanio (PAM00526).That's a rather long name, so we'll stick with Regatta 3 Days. What we have here is a 47mm Luminor case constructed from titanium and encapsulating Panerai's in-house P.9100/R automatic chronograph movement with a flyback feature and central minutes (orange) and seconds (blue) hands. This information layout allows the Regatta 3 Days to stick with the fa
I just watched the new movie angels and demons starring Tom Hanks. I noticed the bad guy in the movie. The person who walked around killing everyone used something that looked like a two tone Datejust on a jubilee bracelet. Anyone know if it actually was a Rolex? Also Tom Hanks uses a Mickey mouse watch. Anyone know what brand that is? Disney? One off topic note. Some might remember I changed the plexiglas on my datejust and wondered if the new glasses was stronger then the old? I have come to the conclusion that either the new glasses are stronger then the old once or my old glass were flawed. My other glass scratched all the time you could almost not even touch it without making a scratch. This new glass has still not scratched and things has happened to the new glass that is fare worse then what happened to the last one. Things that for sure would scratch my old glass.
I am curious about the Khaki Mech Officer (H696195533). Can those of you who own this watch share some night lume shots? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help me with information about an Omega watch which has been in our family for about 40 years (see photo). I would like to know its year of manufacture, its style of Omega, is it real gold, and is it possible to replace the glass which is chipped? Any other information is also appreciated - many thanks, Newob
Some of you might have even been there! If so, sorry to have missed you. Last night I had the awesome privilege of joining fellow TRF friends myopiccoog and StuxNet for a collectors gathering in Philadelphia, sponsored by Govberg Jewelers. It was held in the Franklin Institute and we got to view some fantastic pieces on display.Apologies for the lousy camera phone pics as the lighting was a bit dim - good for romance perhaps but not so good for capturing fine details!Clockwise from top left we have:1. 5307P instantaneous perpetual calendar tourbillon with minute repeater. With 40 baguette diamonds (3.91 tcw) it's supposed to have a sound like no other. MSRP approx $850,000.2. 5131 World Time enamel dial in J and G. Much discussed here in TRF so not much detail necessary IMHO. 3. 5074P perpetual calendar minute repeater with cathedral gongs. MSRP approx $620,000.4. 5160R perpetual calendar with retrograde date. Lovely engravings on the case - not for everyone but impressive to behold in
