The newest high-end wrist watch from Romain Jerome is another version of their Titanic DNA and tourbillon collection. The naming of the brand's watches has gotten shorter over the years which is a good thing, but the DNA hasn't changed. I appreciate that the name of the watch is just the "Romain Jerome Chrono Tourbillon."The case is the same 46mm wide size that RJ has been using for a few years. I still like the looks of it even though it is a unique style. Not everyone likes the oxidized steel bezel look. It is part of the Titanic DNA concept trying to replicate the look of metal that has been under water. Actually, it isn't so much trying to look like but is. Each of these bezels is oxidized under water to get the signature look. The metal used has a bit of metal recovered from the actual Titanic ship as part of the collection's ongoing theme.For this collection there will be three models available. Each are limited editions. About two years ago, we reviewed the first line of watches by the Swedish brand Bravur, the BW001. Their unique take on a modern minimal design, backed by a great case, made the watches successful pieces, though their prices were a bit higher than desired. Recently, they released a follow up model, the BW002, which takes their aesthetic into even cleaner territory. While co-exisitng with the previous watch, I do get the feeling that BW002 is an evolution on their aesthetic concept. As such, there are small differences that feel like improvements throughout the design. It's a bit smaller and more sparse, perhaps simpler in general, but comes across a bit tighter and more harmonious. AP diver discount?
what kind of discount from an AD can be expected for the AP diver??Rolex is obviously tight on their SS model discounts and I have heard AP is pretty good at discounting...that said...why the big MSRP by AP if a big discount is the norm???why is a BIG 3 'haute horology' company offering big discounts?? does Patek? Vacheron??perhaps I am wrong....interested to hear what % off to be expected when purchasing the AD diver as it seems to be a pretty popular model that sells well...thanks in advance
